Keotsu walked over to the desk, where they told him to draw a number. “A17?” asked Keotsu. “Yes, go to group A, numbers 17 through 20.” said the receptionist. As Keotsu entered the room, he saw Kiwii, Mingus and Rena. “I’m in the group with you guys?” asked Keotsu, more directing the question to Mingus and Kiwii. “Yes, our squad is supposed to be assigned a Jounin and Chunin as the leaders.” said Mingus.
As if by cue, two people appeared. A man with a wolf appeared first. “Hi, I’m Alex Jackson Inuzuka. Just call me AJ!.” he said. Another man, on what looked to be a saber-toothed tiger’ appeared. “That’s Hasashi Hyuuga.” said AJ. “I’ve actually researched the Leaf Village, and wasn’t Hasashi Hyuuga killed?” asked Kiwii. “Yes, he was, but I was named after him.” said Hasashi, as he noticed that Preasa was growling at his tiger, Sarara. “You better make that thing stop…” stated Hasashi. “Well, I need you to call off your cat.” said Kiwii. “Why? My tiger could kick your leopard’s *butt*.” he stated. Keotsu looked at AJ, who said, “Yeah, he is like that a lot….”
After the deal with Presa and Sarara had been sorted out, they 6 shinobi made their way to the main hall. There were only about forty or fifty ninja, but it was extremely loud in the hall. A mist ninja, who looked about 20, was picking on one of the younger Grass kunoichi. There was a creaking noise, and a yelp of surprise from the mist ninja, as Hasashi took a hold of his wrist. “You really should treat a lady with more respect.” “Okay, let go though!” yelped the ninja. “Wow.” said Keotsu.
The ninja where now in their briefing room, and they were starting to ask questions about the exam. “What will the events be?” asked Mingus. “We don’t know. Only the proctors do.” said AJ. “When do they start?” Mingus asked again. “Now.” said Hasashi.
It was Tsunade that had appeared. “You are all here to prove that you deserve to be promoted in ninja rank. This exam will test your skills, not only alone, but how you work with shinobi your not familiar with. Your ‘squad proctors’ have your assignment for the exam. It is a 3 part test. Good luck to all of you. Your going to need it.” she said, and then left.
The four Genin surrounded, the Chunin (AJ) and the Jounin (Hasashi). “What is our mission?” asked Kiwii. “Find and kill or capture this S rank deserter Mist ninja.” “Wait! Isn’t that one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist!?” asked Kiwii. “Yep, and I’ll grade you on tracking, method of completion, and combat capabilities, or in other words, three steps.” said Hasashi.
The four Genin hadn’t been worried before, but now, they were concerned.
