Note by the Author: I'm warning you now, I made this one a little bit more descriptive. It might not be as bad as I think it is, but I don't want anyone to be mad at me because it was to descriptive in the battle. Thanks very much for your support of "Dusking Eclipse"! Also, there is an opening and ending theme. The videos are irrelevant, but the music is important.

Dusk Till Dawn!

[size=+1]Keotsu swung Mikomi, and the Guru punched a giant fist towards him, and surprisingly, Keotsu was able to stay on par with the beast’s power. Keotsu swung Mikomi again, and heard the sound of its blade, slicing through the webbed flesh of the Guru’s beastly hand. A giant fist knocked Keotsu square, sending him spiraling through the air; he opened his wings, and stopped his spiraling descent.

The Guru reared back his huge dragon-like head, and let out a black wall of flames. Almost as if broad-casted through the air, Keotsu heard, “Amaterasu!” “Not this time!” yelled Keotsu. Keotsu swung Mikomi, and the unbreakable sword, cut through the endless flame. “Ha! I’m not gonna be beaten that easily!” mocked Keotsu.

As Keotsu reproached the beast, a great buffet of wind came from his wings; Keotsu felt a smarting in his left shoulder. Daggers. “What in the world?” he said, careening through the air wildly, in an attempt to get closer. As he approached the wind, he swung Mikomi with all his strength, and felt the impact of the steel-like Mithril on the hardened flesh of the winds, and Keotsu pierced through, in a spatter of blood.

Keotsu quickly sheathed Mikomi, and gathered his chakra. “Celestial Meteor!” he yelled, as he streaked through the sky, piercing the wing opposite the one he just impaled. Keotsu opened his wings to slow his decent, and blood flew off them. “Your better, my boy.” said the Guru. “He is not alone!” yelled Keotsu, not meaning to. “Ah, Samuel. I didn’t know you where alive, my brother.” he sneered. “Adopted brother, I no longer consider you part of my family.” said Samuel, using Keotsu’s voice.

“Is this how the boy can use Existence?” asked the Guru. Keotsu, who had adjusted to Samuel talking for him, answered, “No, this is his own power. He just needed my help to figure out how to draw the power. Killing his father….That murder….Was the cause of your own!”

Keotsu, now back in control of his body, and with renewed vigor and vitality, charged at the dragon. The air around the Guru instantly became charged with millions of volts of lightening, and they where fired at Keotsu in a marvelous bolt. “Existence Arts: Gateway!” yelled Keotsu, but it was Samuel who used it. “Don’t worry, these are my jutsu, they won’t draw from your chakra, but his Existence Art: Lightening Rampage, can only be blocked by another Existence Art.” he said to Keotsu’s mind.

A great wall of metal shot out of the ground, blocking the lightening, and channeling it harmlessly back into the ground. The Guru laughed. “Very good, you two are working as a team. I don’t think I’ve had this much trouble since I fought Master Tobi, and of coarse, the King.” Keotsu and Samuel said nothing.

It was the Guru who made the first move this time. With speed that seemed physicaly impossible for a beast of that size, his giant, midnight black head, was only inches away from Keotsu’s face; he could smell the bloodlust. The Guru opened his mouth, and a vile, black, cloud of poison engulfed Keotsu. “Wind Style: Wind Gale!” yelled Keotsu, Samuel using the jutsu again. “You need to learn some elemental and regular jutsu after this fight, Keotsu.” Samuel said to him. “I know.” replied Keotsu, rushing in mid-air towards the Guru, sword drawn.

Keotsu swung his sword, and hit the Guru’s scale covered arm so powerfully, that any sword not made of Mithril, and infused with the Time/Space and Eclipse chakra’s like Mikomi was, even one made of solid diamond, would have shattered. With the quick squelch of blade to flesh, Keotsu managed to severe the arm; it fell to the ground, burning, the Guru bleeding profusely from the stump.

The Guru let out a small grunt, nothing more, as if acknowledging the wound, but as if it where nothing. He took his remaining right arm, and punched Keotsu, unleashing an explosion of fire at the same time. Keotsu sped to earth, and landed with a loud crunch, and would’ve broken every bone in his body, if not for the Existence form; he could taste the iron of blood in his mouth. He sparred a look to his left, and saw that the Konoha ninja’s had beat most all of the Guru’s followers, and where watching their fight; Rena was still by Tetsugi’s body, and was looking straight at Keotsu.

Looking away was his first mistake; he felt the Guru’s giant fist sink into his stomach, as the Behemoth slugged him with all his might; a cloud of earth and dust erupted in its wake, by the sheer brute force of the blow. Suddenly, a giant octagon engulfed the plain, and a blinding pillar of energy slammed into the Guru, desolation the surrounding area. The Guru stood opposite of Keotsu after the smoke cleared; both wounded, both still in their Existence forms. Keotsu spat blood from his mouth, ridding him self of the taste of iron.

“How do you like my Existence Art? Existence Art: Eclipsing Desolation?” asked Keotsu, confidence replenished after the awe-inspiring jutsu. Two of Keotsu’s silver wings disappeared; his wounds healed themselves. He took Mikomi back out, and rushed towards the Guru. He thrust his arms forth, and the scales on his arms grew immensely in size, and shot towards Keotsu like giant blades. Keotsu used Mikomi’s trait of being unbreakable, and expertly sliced through them all, and stabbed the blue blade into the boney, scale-less fist of the Guru; there was the crunch of the hand on the Guru’s left arm breaking.

Keotsu was thrown backwards by a blast of wind, and in a gruesome scene and sound the Guru mutated. He stood across from Keotsu, from his back sprouted two raven’s wings, his body was covered in a webbed flesh-and bone type armor, and upon his waist sat his sword. He looked at Keotsu, with the full intention of ending the fight, and pure malice in his eyes.

The two charged, swords drawn, and met in the middle of the air, their swords ringing with the impact. They launched an intricate series of sword attacks, and maneuvers to dodge them, until their swords caught with such force, it catapulted them backwards.

The Guru laughed; his laugh was different. He sounded deranged, and his laugh could make blood curdle, and souls melt. It sent a horrible chill down Keotsu’s spine. Keotsu noticed that the snow had turned black, and had intensified.

The snow landed on Mikomi, and melted. The water ran down the length of the blade. The sight of the water reminded Keotsu of a tear; the one’s he shed for his father, the ones that everyone in the village had shed as their loved ones died around them. He felt is chakra start to pour out of his body. The Guru, now engulfed in a purple aura, was directly across from Keotsu. He started a Celestial Meteor, and the tail wrapped around it, turning the Celestial Meteor, into what looked more like a white star.

The Guru had a large ball of pure darkness in his hands; Keotsu, a small star. They rushed towards each other.

“Impact of Armageddon!”

“Mourning Star!”

The Impact of Armageddon left a trail of bleak death behind the Guru. The Mourning Star left a double Helix of distorted Space/Time behind Keotsu. The two techniques collided with a force unlike anything anyone had ever felt.

They collided; an orb of destruction and creation formed around them. Dimensions could be seen through the wind of Space/Time their techniques opened. There was an Earth, burning in the distance. A second later there was a different vision; Earth, beautiful and blue, stood, with lights gleaming, and structures orbiting around it. The last was the strangest, this imaged seem magnified. There where men and women, wearing clothes with patches of Red and White stripes, and White Stars, a blue background with a red and white “star”, a white flag with a red dot, and many others. There where strange metal objects in their hands, fire shooting in short burst from them. People fell; a flag with a strange symbol burned, and the field lay desolated. It was like a war of the entire world.

They where thrown away from each other, by the explosions. The Guru laughed. “At this rate, the battle will never end. You and I are evenly matched. We will fight for all eternity, and you will never beat me, my boy.” he said indifferently. “Stop calling me ‘my boy’! Your not my father; you killed him, you killed my friends, and you killed not only my family, but everyone’s! I’m not going to fight you for eternity, either I walk away victorious, or neither of us at all!” yelled Keotsu. Keotsu glowed with power. A Mourning Star formed in each hand; the sound of crashing waves was overwhelmingly loud. The Guru formed an Impact of Armageddon, humongous, and radiating death and sorrow, and the two warriors rushed towards each other.

The Guru’s attack and Keotsu’s collided. Their left hands couldn’t be seen because of the distorted space around them. “Why do you fight me, boy? Even if you beat me, there is one more powerful, and he will not fail. You want peace, but that‘s impossible. We fight for peace, but that only brings for fighting. We get tired of peace, and fight again, and fight again, to regain ‘peace‘. What‘s the point? I have power. I can kill the King. I‘ll bring true peace, but, I need your power, my boy.” said the Guru to Keotsu. “ Your peace isn’t the kind that’s wanted; the kind that’s needed! I fight… I fight for that which is precious to me. I fight for my home; I fight for the ones I love, and I fight to protect them. Konoha is my home now, I finally realize that. People who care about me, and a place a feel safe and content. And my family…my friends…and Rena. I will protect them all with my life! I’ll protect what’s precious, even if it cost me my life! That’s my Nindo; MY NINJA WAY!” yelled Keotsu as he took his right hand, and the final Mourning Star, and impaled the Guru’s chest.

There was a blinding light; a burst of warmth enveloped everyone, and the snow stopped, lightening to a drizzle, but that quickly became a torrential downpour of rain and thunder. Keotsu stood, in his Existence form, but barely, with his arm protruding through the Guru’s chest. The Guru chuckled. “You got what you wanted; I’m beaten. But can you really protect those you want to? Can you live by your Nindo? Your more like me than you realize boy…. Samuel, my brother, if you can hear me, keep him safe. You have no idea this boy could unlock, and how much his powers are sought after….But I won’t die, not yet. I’ve tried to protect those precious to me, but time is the unbeatable enemy, and you, taking my life, makes me fail in up keeping MY Nindo. Now, I will take something from you!” The Guru raised his sword, and a black aura enveloped the blade. He swung.

The blade shot out of the hilt, and headed straight for Rena. “NO!” yelled Keotsu, as he pulled his arm free and ran with all his ability towards Rena.

All sound stopped. Light faded from vision. There was the feeling of cold steel through hot flesh. Rena started to scream, but it stopped in the middle of her throat, cut off. Blood covered her front, and splashed into her face. She fell to her knees…and started sobbing. “I told you I wouldn’t let you die….” said Keotsu, as she looked up to see the blade sticking through him. He fell to the ground. “Foolish boy…You need to break those bonds….You need to…” his voice trailed off, “or is it possible I was wrong?….We’ll have to see….” said the Guru, as he too, fell to the ground, and then the Guru died.

“Keotsu!” sobbed Rena, “why?” “Its…my nindo…” he said painfully. The others rushed towards him. Rena pulled the blade from his chest; it was only a half inch from his heart. “Nature’s Blessing!” she sobbed. Small green orbs came from the Earth it self, and compacted it self into a shining green orb; the most powerful and potent version of this Jutsu she had ever used. She pushed it into Keotsu’s chest, and immediately, his wounds started to heal. Sakura slid onto her knees and immediately started to help heal him, but in her mind, she knew the shock from a blow so close to his heart would be to much, and Keotsu would not survive, not without a miracle.

Rena was crying so much, you couldn’t distinguish if the water on her face was her own tears, or the downpour of rain. “Why…why Keotsu…I can’t lose you…There is no one else…and…and…I love you.” she whispered. “Please don’t leave me!” She was crying much harder now, her body racked with her sobbing. His wounds were healed, but no one said anything, they knew what was coming.

Much to everyone’s surprise, Keotsu found the strength to lift his hand. He wiped away the tears from Rena’s face, and in doing so, her hair brushed against his face. She smelled like strawberries, he noticed. He chuckled; amazing the things you noticed on the verge of death.

She took his hand; the warmth rapidly fading. He managed one word. “Rena….” A silence over took the field, and the rain intensified, as if mourning, as Rena’s sobs continued when Keotsu’s heart stopped and his hand lost warmth, his eyes closed, and he died; a smile on his face.

Rena wiped away her tears, and picked up Mikomi; in its blue blade, which now had a look of saddened blue, danced the image of Keotsu’s chest, covered in blood, and unmoving. She felt a hand on her shoulder, and looked up to see Tsunade, a saddened look in her eyes. She turned to the army of Konoha ninja, and Mizu and Rei. “ Today, we had two casualties, thanks to the two that have died. Only Tetsugi and Keotsu Akarusa have died here, and it is to those two, that we owe this.”

There was no reply. This war was intense, and after seeing their fight, no one thought Keotsu was going to die. “We will send a team of medical ninja out to treat your wounds, and to collect the enemies corpses,” and now she turned to Rena, “I know you don’t want to leave, but some one will collect his body, he will have a proper funeral.” said Tsunade.

Rena stood up, wiping tears from her face, and brushing her brown, hair out of her face. “……Okay……” she replied after a moment. She latched Mikomi at her waist, the Eclipsed Sun’s light dancing sorrowfully in it’s sapphire colored blade. They started back to the village.

As they approached the village gate, the storm had become violent; wind howling, rattling doors, thunder booming, rattling buildings, and lighting striking violently, from cloud to cloud, and even the ground, more often than people liked. The field of the battle, in the distance of Rena’s sight, had been stricken with lighting several times, and the rain fell especially hard there, as if the Earth was trying to wash the battle from its memories. Rei, Mizu, Sakura, and Shikamaru walked silently behind Rena.

She stopped in the middle of the road, other ninja’s making their way to either their homes, or to the Hospital to treat their injuries.

She felt a hand on her shoulder, and saw Sakura, a sympathetic look in her eyes. “He will be missed, but he died doing what he wanted, protecting his home…and you.” “It’s sad…I barely even knew him except during when we are captured, but I feel as if its my own younger brother who died.” said Mizu. “He was nice…was his death a tragedy, or a message to the Shinobi world?” asked Rei, questioning the fight itself, and what society had become. Shikamaru turned his back… “I hadn’t talked to him much, mainly just when he needed help…but he reminds me of Naruto.” This surprised everyone.

“How?” asked Rena. “Naruto…Naruto has this ability…He makes everyone around him want to try harder; to never to give up. Keotsu was similar. I always felt like I need to try harder, like I had something worth fighting for, even if I didn’t know what it was. He was, I don’t know, a protector. He wanted revenge, but I don’t think it was revenge for the sake of revenge, maybe it was revenge for protection.” Shikamaru said, his voice trailing off.

They all stood their in the midst of the rain, and after a few good byes, they started to leave; Rena didn’t move. They all heard muttering, and then it grew louder. Shikamaru turned to look, and they heard him gasp; a great cheer erupted from the crowd. There was the sound of jingling bells, and a soft silver light. Rena turned around to everyone smiling.

She looked up, and saw Keotsu touch the ground, and revert from his Existence mode, to normal, despite the fact that he had the form broken when he died. His hair turned form silver back to its normal brown, his golden eyes to their sapphire blue. His chest was scorched, where the lightening had struck him, acting as a natural defibrillator, jump starting his heart; it seemed Earth was not ready for Keotsu to die, like the fate still had plans for him.

He stepped forward, and embraced Rena. “I love you too.” he said, and kissed her. The rain slackened, and the clouds opened, revealing the Sun, the moon trailing off; the Eclipse ended.

Still holding Rena, he turned his face to the Sun, the light gleaming in his eyes. “I finally realize I’m home, and that these people are my family, and I searched for five years for this place, and even living here for so long, its taken me a year to realize that. I’m not done yet. I have a duty. I have to protect this place, my friends,” and he looked back at Rena, “the ones I love. My stories not done, not by a long shot.”

Diango pulled himself out of the portal, and up underneath an overhang, in order to protect himself from the elements. Keotsu's own chakra had grown more powerful; his master, the Guru's, had faded completly. He would avenge his master; he would kill Keotsu.

Keotsu thought the Guru made his life miserable before, then what Diango was going to do would make it a nightmare.
