Hailed as the most incredible of all time, the legendary 3-hour duel will be shown in the final Fantastic Beasts film. Though of course, not the whole three hours because that would be a film in itself. I hope it will top Dumbledore vs. Voldemort in the Atrium.

Oh yeah, and Johnny Depp is playing Grindelwald.

So many years have I waited to see the most hyped and completely unseen battle in HPVerse. Now I only have 5-6 more to wait. :lmao:

I hope it will top Dumbledore vs. Voldemort in the Atrium.

Hell yeah it will, because the fight in the Atrium blew chunks in the movie. In the book, Dumbledore proves to Voldemort that the Killing Curse is not all that cracked up to be by summoning statues to take the blow for him (as well as Fawkes to swallow one). The book made the duel more thrilling than the movie made. Although I will give props to the movie, because they did not include Le Epic Simfonee while the duel was taking place, it was just pure sound effects. That was a plus for me.

I just hope they make it a lengthy battle. Most of the battles in HP were short, stale and boring. I've always wanted to see this fight on the big screen.

Well, I'm not comparing it to the books. Film vs. Film.

The one thing I didn't like about the films is how they portrayed Dumbledore as probably only slightly ahead, where in the books and esp. that duel, Dumbledore was clearly in another league. All Voldemort had to do was try and get rid of Dumbledore, whilst the latter was fighting him, protecting Harry and restraining Bellatrix simultaenously. And of course using apparition to dodge the curses.
