I hate it when I'm watching a certain show/anime and the villains goal is to destroy the world.
Why?!
You destroy the world and then what? Nothing that's what!
If the villain survives what would he/she do?! Just drift off and die or live his/her empty life? (depends on which show and anime)
Also why takeover the world?? If your strong enough to take over the world why not just live your life and do whatever you want? If you want money go rob a bank and kill whoever is in your way.
I don't know if I made sense, too tired to check for any errors so that's it!

You must understant that villains are crazy and mentally unstable. Dont try to understand the logic of a mad mas because..well..there isnt. Besides how the hero will achieve fame if he deafeted a villain who only robs a bank ? There must be something big ,globaly, unviversal to save to show us how hero the hero actually is. The villains dreams in put there in antithesis to emphasise the greatness of the main character.

I always thought that villains who wanted to destroy the world are shit because i had the same thought as yours . Wth will you do once everything has been destroyed .
Although taking over the world and controllign people is a good goal for a villain.

every pure evil is just mad who destroys everything.It doesnt matter what you get, an evil does not care. He doesnt wants the money he doesnt wants the fame..He just wants to destroy .Thats what makes him evil,I think.
