Ways to counter this technique

Strong points

 • Hmm, Lets start with the obvious, easy peasy part, it is that the range of the technique is Medium. Most of the low ranked technique that you come across are short range and get neglected, but having power over the medium range which is the most widely used range in the NB RP system, it gives you the advantage of initiating the jutsu almost anywhere as long as the opponent is not too far away from you (meaning; is not at long range).
 • The other obvious thing you will notice is what I call the annoyance of a technique. How much can it annoy your opponent or make it fun for you. It is the sticky part, the technique is able to bind the opponent covering him or her in a sticky thick glue-ish material, open for further attack combinations provided by the user. This technique cannot only help you bind the opponent but also force them to perform certain actions, as you already stated they are left with three choices, and all of those choices requires at-least the use of ONE jutsu space of the opponent's move given that they don't have any weird ability.
 • Not only does the stickiness annoying, the annoyance last for two turns, the opponent stays binded for two turns if caught or either way the technique keeps on going for another turn. With the first use the opponent might be able to get away, but you can force them to be back to the same spot by using the technique efficiently. That is not the only thing, since it covers mid-range it can be used to bind multiple opponents as I see. So if you are in a dual battle or squad battles, or any battle that has more participants than the usual two, you can take advantage of using one low ranked, medium ranged technique against multiple opponents.
Weak points

 • Okay so, first is you have to be really careful when and how to use this technique, reason being you don't really want yourself to be caught in the stickiness. It might be a bad idea to perform a technique in a certain range and then jump over to that range getting trapped and yet open for pretty much all attacks.
 • Second will be to make sure that the before you perform this technique you first take care of your opponent's actions. If they are caught off guard or do not have much time to counter this technique then it will most probably be more successful otherwise it is much easier to avoid this technique by some sort of shelter or range change. Since it is not long range technique the opponent might easily switch ranges before the rain even get to them, but a smart thing will be to cover long range first and then use this technique.
 • Lastly, this technique does require some sort of pre-precipitation to be successful quickly, other wise like you said you will have to infuse your chakra in the water before really manipulating it to form think glue substance.
Combinations-strategies An awesome strategy with this technique is a genjutsu that allows you to take over the surroundings. If you are manage to fake the surroundings or blind the opponent this technique will really give you two advantages, one; use of lightning will be limited due to the water content in the rain, two; there will be two binding jutsus (a genjutsu, and this rain jutsu) to be taken care of before the opponent does any movements, so there is a good chance that the third jutsu with these two combination jutsu can be a very strong jutsu to eradicate your opponent.

Ways to counter this technique Some basic ways to counter this jutsu are; range change, a strong wind or rain jutsu to take over clouds and clear the sky, and or a protective jutsu to shelter yourself for two turns.

"That was again a freaking long talk. ~.~ Now comes the hard part..." Blizzard moves to the center of battlefield, extending his arms outwards to allow him to extend his chakra and leak it to the surroundings, once taking control of most of the rain particles/water particles, Blizzard continues to fuse more and more chakra in them, the water gets thicker and thicker every passing second, and as it drops its content keeps changing. Within few seconds the rain turns so thick that wherever it falls it leaves a thick squishy glueyy material covering the surface. The plants starts to bend from their original position. Knowing that he has mastered this technique devious thoughts take over Blizzard's mind..."Hehehe..." He changes the constitution of water molecules above feng pouring the gluey material onto him, laughing while he pointed towards the now soaked peer.
Pretty much all I wanted to see and then some. You sir have given me a nice combination to perform in the near future. u_u
Long Feng: Well do i look like your Girlfriend!

Long Feng draws his sword and uses Wind Release: Peacock Whirlwind Formation to blow the goo off of him.

(Fūton: Kujaku Senpūjin) - Wind Release: Peacock Whirlwind Formation
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique utilizes wind chakra into the users sword and then they release a vortex of wind that surrounds the users body and can push away materials covering the users body.
If you're binded and place and can't move you can't draw your sword, remember? :hint:

(Touei Ame Bushin) - Reflection Rain Clone
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique creates a reflection of the user, this clone is unable to touch physical objects or cause harm. Every move that the user makes the clone mimics at the same time. The reflection clone is destroyed after one hit, this is a tactical technique.
Pretty simple technique. Utilizing the falling rain beside you, I want both of you to manipulate the rain water and create an reflection of yourself just as if you were looking at a mirror minus in the reversed effect. This clone is very different than other clones. Unlike regular clones this clone will mimic your every movement.

Strong points

 • First strong point for this technique is it can be a useful distraction without wasting shadow clones.
 • Because it mimics you perfectly it will be hard to tell which is real and which is the clone.
 • And because its used through the rain and without seals it can be made to look like genjutsu because low level gen creates clones or changes the surroundings without seals as well.
Weak points

 • First is that it is not a real clone and not able to help in any more way then distraction.
 • The Reflection is easily destroyed (low rank and one hit) and thus any wide spread technique could destroy it by accident.
 • If your enemy notices you both doing the exact same thing for long enough he might be able to use this info to figure out which one is real by how they dodge when attacked one at a time.
Combinations-strategies
I would make Reflection Clone then a real Clone and have the real clone hide under the ground and when they focus on the Rain Clone both me and the clone can attack from his other angles. Or Genjutsu that makes a clone or multiple clones in their mind then the reflection clone so that if they dispel the gen they will still see a clone and think they are trapped still or the clone is real.

Ways to counter this technique
Use either wide spread techniques to try and hit both real and clone or single techniques to pick up on how they dodge/block/counter each attack and judge which is real. Or a jutsu to make the water disappear or rain from stop falling.

NB won't let me save any edits so i'll just post doing the jutsu here:

I channel my chakra out into the nearby rain water and shape the water into a clone and coat it with wind chakra to cause a reflecting effect on the clone. I then control it to move as i move and jump as i jump.

Good, just keep in mind that it can be hit by other things, it doesn't necessarily a jutsu, sadly enough. Also due to its properties it can be used as a water source for small techniques if used correctly.

 • Not much of a useful jutsu I would say, but since this jutsu mimics everything the user can confuse the opponent between the real person and the clone. It is rather possible with the other clones but this is EXACT same movements making it more effective in that sense.
 • It can be used to make the water literraly travel in short range with your for maybe combinations with other techniques in the form a clone.
 • Is probably extremely fast jutsu, requires no hand-seals and have low rank.
Weak points

 • It is its unique points but also one of the weakness, that the jutsu only mimics the user, it does not have the freedom of movements like other clone jutsus.
 • The range of the jutsu is short, hence it does not really helps when the mimic movements are needed in long or mid-range.
 • The reflection can be detected and easily hindered by the opponent because it highly depends on the rain and the specifics of user movements.
Combinations-strategies Good combination of this technique will be with actual clones. It will cause utter confusion between the real ones the clones and this special clone which is performing exact same movements as the real one, meaning you can imply it as a genjutsu, once that step is complete it can be used as a sacrifice with Raiton to attack.

Ways to counter this technique Well a disruption using wind attacks will probably do the trick. And easy way or dirty way to get through it, is using large scale attack to make the user force his protection and at the same time defend himself.

Blizzard concentrates his chakra in the form of water and wind creating a reflection of himself that appears to be in form of a clone, then using that method of reflection all the movements that he performs are exactly copied by the clone created using rain. "So this jutsu cannot reflect jutsus or weapons?"

That's correct.

(Amegakure No Jutsu) - Hidden Rain Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A jutsu that can only be used in rain to conceal oneself, this jutsu is considered a dynamic form of henge. After performing a row of hand-seals, the user seems to disappear. In truth, they have merely assumed a form that mimics rain. Fast movements and physical contact with others may reveal the user
This technique is very similar to the hiding in water technique. After performing an unknown number of hand-seals, I want you both to focus your chakra throughout your bodies and the rain around you, allowing you to conceal yourself by mimicking the falling rain in around you. This is very similar to the concealment technique however you don't use lighting, instead you use the rain itself as cover by manipulating it.

That's correct.

Strong points

 • Seems like a fun technique to me, it is rather surprising that this technique is allowed in the medium range which can become useful because NB RP highly relies on mid range.
 • The other thing is this jutsu is actually more suitable than handing in the water, because using that ninja can easily be seen initiated, but this is more like disappearing so suddenly, but where? in the rain? It can be assumed as a Genjutsu and really hard to detect.
 • The third but not the last will be that the user just not conceals himself or herself, he or she can actually move within the rain, not to fast though but enough to hide and attack.
Weak points

 • I think it requires rain before hand? Which is the downfall because if you don't have rain you will not be able to initiate this jutsu.
 • The user will be found if touched by the opponent, or that might mean a disruption enough to stop the concealment. In the same sense fast movement applies. So its more like hide and hunt.
 • Requires unknown number of hand-seal for this low ranked jutsu might slow the user down and give time to the opponent to attack.
Combinations-strategies A fun strategy will be using and the last reflection technique, if I am correct the clone technique will mimic the user and also conceal itself and then once the user reveals himself it will be a sudden surprise of two users at the same time coming out of nowhere.

If that is not possible a simple hide and hunt combination will do the trick. It can be a multi genjutsu coat, put user in the genjutsu and use this technique, even when the opponent discovers that the genjutsu is broken he will not find the user and will think that he is still in the genjutsu, rather odd environment for the opponent but an open attack for the user.

Ways to counter this technique Again, disruption will do the trick or something that could take care of the rain clouds itself.

Blizzard quickly copies Mathy's hand-seal movements with equally fast speed and dispels a sudden sense of chakra in the rain drops as well as his own body, becoming one with and as the rain drops his body barely becomes a soul and the drops the container. Amazingly vanishing in the rain and then appearing mid-range away from the training field. He does that again to practice the movement and finally masters it.

All rain techniques require a rain-source before hand so that weak point is universal. And no, the reflection clone can only mimic physical movement not actual techniques.

Sorry for late reply between co-workers wanting me to play LoL with them and girls inviting me over i've been...."busy" (Giggity)

Strong points

 • First of all its since you are blending into the rain they won't see rain hitting you unlike hiding in camo technique. If you used HiC while it was raining it'd be able to be seen through because your body is still solid and thus they'd see a hollow version of you outlined by the rain on your skin/clothes
 • It can also be combined with Genjutsu like a few other rain jutsu and layered on each other making it very hard to be found in a short time unless by a sensor or sensing technique.
 • The technique being low rank means it should be simple to perform once we have mastered Rain and thus makes for a quick escape in the rain followed by an attack or binding technique to make them think its part of a genjutsu as a couple illusions make the user vanish.
Weak points

 • It requires seals (an unknown amount as well which can lead to arguments in important fights or with people who argue over anything)
 • It doesn't cloak your sounds or presence past that of making you look like rain so its still possible to find the user if done the right way.
 • The technique goes up to Mid range so I'm not sure what would happen if you were in long range of an enemy and used it if they would see though it or what?
Combinations-strategies
I would use a Genjutsu to obscure their vision (provided they aren't immune in some way (like Hazama and his hat >.< or a Nekura or advanced Uchiha). An easy one would be bringer of darkness or Flower Petal Escape then use Hidden Rain then surround them (like with MEC) or use a very quick attack that doesn't give away your position.

Ways to counter this technique
Well a widespread attack that makes it hard for them to hide would be one if you weren't sure where they went, or a jutsu that tracks them through the ground (CJs or Hiding like a Mole for example) or if he is using a natural rain source your own chakra sensing rain (if he used CSR then it would interfere with both of yours and make both useless sensing-wise IIRC). My Nekura bio is of course immune to gen making it easy on that bio to tell that the user has vanished with ninjutsu of some kind and not gen.

I copy the hand seals shown by Mathy-sensei and using my knowledge of both Ninjutsu and my understanding of Rain so far I send chakra around me and through my body and copy the pattern of the rain falling and quickly transform my body to mimic it so that I shimmer away into a perfect blend with the rain I then walk stealthily around seeing if either of you are tracking my movements and if so I try to correct the technique so that my henge is closer to the rain and making me harder to see. I then cancel the technique and perform it again trying to get it perfect the first activation as a imperfect version of this wouldn't be feasible in battle.

That's an interesting question. When Toku taught me it he didn't really specify the outcome. I will check in HQ and get back to you.

(Hitoshirenu Ame Sai) - Hidden Rain Slash
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user manipulates their chakra to condense a single raindrop into a more solid form. The raindrop becomes as sharp as a blade. The disadvantage to this jutsu is that the raindrop falls in a straight line.
A very dangerous and sneaky technique. I want you guys to manipulate your chakra throughout a single rain drop within range. You will then condense the rain drop into a more solid form as you further shape manipulate it to increase its sharpness, allowing you to pierce into your target from above.

 • An attack from above is always good especially in such a small scale it will be very hard to detect and thus defend from.
 • Low rank and no seals so easy to weave into a combo.
 • Rain is fast as it is falling from above and who is going to keep track of all the rain all the time especially if you aren't using Rain attacks a lot before this.
Weak points

 • Since its small and unidirectional if they are moving a lot it will be hard to land a hit with this.
 • if they make any kind of solid defense against the rain this won't get though since its C rank all Earth can block it.
 • It could get blown away/accidentally defended from if they use a wide attack like a 360 blast/dome for another of your techniques.
Combinations-strategies
Could use a genjutsu to hold them still or make them focused on something other then above and while the gen is holding them drop the rain slash on their head or neck. Or Dark Rain (the one that makes all the rain black and hard to see) followed by Hidden Rain Slash to make it even harder to dodge. Or when they are in the air force them to hold still somehow or guide them back/front with other techniques and let Hidden Rain Slash hit them as they get to the new position that they think is safe.

Ways to counter this technique
Earth armor/domes, wind jutsu that form a skyward defense, 360 degree attack/defense or moving a lot or a technique that lets you sense it coming.

I send my chakra out to a rain drop high in the clouds so as it falls it condenses and forms into a blade of water rather then a harmless rain drop. The drop falls and splits a training dummy's head as it connects. I practice by throwing out 10 kunai at different points and hitting them each with a slash one by one.

Strong points

 • Quite interesting technique, at first I would like to point out that the rank of the technique and the size of the technique actually helps a lot. Such a tiny rain drop is almost not detectable, you could really afflict numerous damages if done correctly because of the size of the rain-drop.
 • Its range is quite useful as it extends to Mid-range and can really help in our RP, because almost no battles happen in short range.
 • Due to gravity and the size of the drop, it is assumed that the technique will initiate and act faster than most techniques.
Weak points

 • One of them is stated in the jutsu that it only travels in straight line down, so pretty much distraction using these attacks will be useless, its only goal is to inflict pain which then can cause distraction.
 • This scale of technique is not to be used in defense, never ever. Although it will be effective during a Tai battle.
 • It won't be a good idea to use this technique during rapid powerful jutsus, because almost any scale jutsu that covers its path will take care of it.
Combinations-strategies I would use this jutsu with Tai combination, as we know it acts as a "sharp" blade, when used it will be extremely quick, for-example if I use it on a direct attack on my opponent's leg which is attacking me, the sharp blade will pierce and leave a good scratch, the pain will act as a distraction and the upcoming attacks will be harder to deflect at short range.

Ways to counter this technique Well, almost any jutsu that covers the path, preferably Earth or Wind jutsus will take care of this technique, and it is a good practice to use the B-rank Earth Hardening technique that only covers a part of your body as you wish, because that technique also increases Taijutsu stats at the same time as it will defend. On the side effect it decreases the speed of the user because of weight of the Earth Tech.

Blizzard closes his eyes slams his hands, and once again becomes one with the rain drops, knowing and feeling every single one of them, their path, their direction, and their density, all calculated, blizzard picks one that is in the path of the training dummy. He then channels his Water and wind chakra into the drop making it sharp rain blade that pierces through the dummy. "Sensei, what if I use a small scale wind technique to change the path and make it stronger? Like Rain with wind is directional rain right?"
