[Suggestion] Due to lack of activity, let's merge some sections

But I do think the idea should be given some consideration.

It has been considered much longer and sincerely by admins than any one posting in this thread.

For all we know V can merge some of them next week and archive the rest, when he sees it would be more suitable ( ) but not for the reasons being advocated here. Merging sections doesn't expand any discussions nor makes it easier to find the threads relevant to you.

The threads popping up ARE dead and boring. I'm a casual member so I just come on my phone and look at the top of the webpage for threads.

Maybe I should explore more but it would be nice to get better stuff right when I log in.

This is pretty funny considering he made the guidelines for the versus section. If he feels that way then why doesn't he just delete the entire section completely?

I say we merge the Naruto Manga and Discussion Section. I see no difference of having them separated. The same thing is being discussed in both section.

The section may end up being merged at one point but mixing everything up doesn't create larger discussions just a hotch potch discussion forum where people have more difficulty in finding discussions they may prefer.

I agree however with a couple of well copy-pasted paRAGRAphs -from other sections- describing what is expected to form a thread -guidelines- even reading some of those could come to be interesting.-/// I do believe many of the threads at the NARUTO DISCUSSION are sort of the same if you compared them with -VS- threads, even SHORTER.

Regardless of my personal disinterest in most of these versus threads I still think they get better discussions and visibility in their own section rather than being mixed with other threads. Merging them all lessens visibility for individual type of threads as threads get pushed down faster. It's not there to discourage them but to organize.

As for revamping the section, how admins plan to go about it or when, I don't know. If you notice Naruto questions used to be a forum by itself but now it's a sub forum in ND. V may make some other changes in near future. What I am posting other than is how I see the situation. Rest assured I'm posting that only as a member.

I just feel that many of the vocal members here think it's time to box Naruto boards and that somehow increase activity and and at the same time make trolls and spammer disappear- I don't see that happening. In fact some of the people who are most vocal about ( not directed at you personally or any one else here for that matter but in general) calling it trash section etc are the people who actually responsible for the littering in there with most useless posts themselves derailing threads with spam and what not. Its just ironic.

Whatever is easier for people to login in and enjoying a good reading. i chose to make a remark cause it seemed as the best place to do it. Threads like this do make all the staff managing the base aware,so far I can understand most of guidelines set, maybe except for the character bashing one , though it´s killed so far any derpobito come to be writers. There goes my point regarding length and -quality?- of writing. I´m glad all ya people have kept this place tidy!

You even don't see that you are asking the admins to kill the most active sections at the NB and at the same time actually asking us to make one more section for where you can throw every random discussion in while keeping the original ones...And some how it makes sense to you.

Actually what about killing the Naruto Questions and Naruto manga section by archiving them as they are too similar with Naruto Discussion and have far less activity even compared to the dead VS section? Then Naruto Discussion, the most active one will be left intact. Naruto anime should remain separate due to possible spoilers from manga while VS section has its unique flavor that should be kept unique. I do recommend putting in VS threads in the recent/hot threads links and remove those RP sparring threads which only a few people need to look at.

Can you explain exactly how it will "expand" the section? So far only thing expanding in you suggestion is number of section which will be a jumbled up one and confusing. Ironic seeing you ask us to merge them and then ask us to make one more for everything so that you don't have to choose a section.

In the Naruto Questions and Naruto Manga section, threads from May can be found which are over two months old. Threads are considered old if they are one month old yet we can see old threads on the first page. When you have so little activity in a section, is it really worth keeping them?

Pairing threads are mostly deleted apart from one sticky. So are other repetitive/ troll threads. Pairings are a legit discussion many like just like VS threads you like. We are not banning either but organizing them and giving people a place to discuss them.

So exactly what's your point by mentioning them?

Wouldn't forum costs also go down with less sections?

I meant that people are posting VS threads in the NDS despite VS section being a click away and despite posting Vs threads in the NDS is against the rules.

Speaking of Sakura threads, wasn't there a Naruto character section back in 2012? What happened to it and all the threads it used to contain?
