I agree- NB is not a dating site so who cares if you're a girl or a guy, or what your avas gender is. I'm not against people trying to find someone online, however this isn't eharmony. The main purpose of this site is to view, debate/discuss, manga and anime. Not to know if the person you are talking to is a girl or guy.

I tend to go by names, not avatars.

Priority:

1. Name.

2. Avatar.

3. Gender sign.

If your name is Saturn and you have a picture of Venus, I'm going to refer to you as Saturn.

There's in nothing wrong with rockin a hot anime chick for a avatar. This is the internet...unless you're looking to interhookup with them, it shouldn't really matter. I've had Temari, Hinataa, Remy(Black Lagoon), and quite a few others as my avatar for quite a few sites. Even had video game avatars like Chung Li, Cammy, Rose, Kitana etc...the list goes on...but there's nothing wrong with a dude with a female avatar.....seriously. If you're looking for a date, get out the house/apartment and find a gurl. You'd be really surprise on how many gurls love anime and manga once to teach them how to read it...
