I fail in the eyes of people in a mindset different from the one needed for understanding what was being said, nowhere else.
Hmmmm.. I didn't use the contents of your religious scripts/myths for other reasons than it providing wonderful material for a metaphor.
So, please do not see it as something offensive, that's all you, not me, I never tried to offend anyone.
I didn't use the so called almighty God because I wasn't thinking about him at the moment.
I don't really think there is any gods btw, or at least I've never seen or in any way felt the presence of any such divine being, so please do not make the assumption I have one, that's quite prejudiced and hurts my feelings somehow.
I suppose you're referring to the Christian/Catholic God right? Then yes, he did something like that.

I know that you understand I never insulted your religion, and if you want a full explanation, I'd gladly give you one in a VM/PM(whichever you prefer).

No, you're misinterpreting what I'm saying which is that I found it offensive as well. Using another person's faith system as a metaphor for something unimportant is downright disrespectful. Regardless of your intent, what you said was offensive to Hells and myself. No need to apologize to me as I'm quick to forgive, but try not to use another person's religious beliefs as a metaphor in the future.

A person is not merely his/her outer appearance correct?
He/she is also all that he/she likes and dislikes, no?
So say for example that I like Sakura from Naruto, then using this(A pic of Sakura) as my avatar would not be so different from using my own picture as defined by concept, since it represents part of me, and I'm not separated from those parts, I am those parts. Sometimes pictures other than your own may represent you better than itself even, just a pointer ;D

Some people like it, some don't.
No matter what anyone says they won't change it and vice versa, so I wouldn't even worry about it. If you get confused just look at their sign if they have one. ^_^

lolxd I sometimes mistaken a guy as girl because of the avatar since its the first one that you can see and it represents you but eventually I get used to see some guys using smexy girly avatars.
