I actually have knowledge of the grading system that exists in schools. I do know everything.

Ah That grading system is similar to some of the universities and education boards in India. Not all of them have similar grading system and different universities have different cut of marks for such grades.

Just to put it out there- the grading or marking in exams and tests varies. That in such schools or universities which have grading similar to the given in examples scoring is very difficult and there won't be that many who would get marks in 80% above.

Pretty much this, the scores are lower for a reason, i live in the uk and i am in my final year of high school,now i agree there are subjects where A even A* is somewhat easy to obtain, that said try comparing our science A level or uni papers with yours, in fact last year, they put an impossible question, search in on google.

Also your attempt to mock our grading criteria is somewhat insensitive- the amount of careless outgoing white British people are to blame.

As a college student , I've had experiences where teachers lowered requirements to get A's on their test's . Hell , it even happened in high school .

It's called a curve .

I doubt that's how the class is graded overall . Probably a grading scale for a big test or project .

Minorities? Why are we calling SC and ST class a minority now? Besides those who get better scores from that class are considered for general seats. Problem is that they fill the reserved seats from the reserved quote class even if they do not fulfill even the lowest grades or those seats remain empty a lot of times... But of course that is not exactly problem with grading but reservation..

Well I didnt use SC or ST cos apparently that person is aware of them either .... Also actually technically speaking from West Bengal JEE last year POV everyone received a basic Rank and the SC/ST received a Reserved Rank soo ... IDK. AND yes that one of the many evils of the reservation system ..... honestly I think our whole system sucks, cos last year I passed my HS and I was in a way forced by my parents to sit in the JEE even though I only studied 2 nights (somehow) for it as I was totally devastated with my breakup .... Yet I managed a 18k rank among 180k+ applicants .... How I have no idea. But this should not be so.

I have attended over 8 different schools in my lifetime, and all but one required 94+ for an A. The only reason I'm a 3.4 GPA student is because of that scale, which I think is retarded.

The fairest scale is the 100-90-80 scale. It's an accurate representation of how well you know the material. Not to mention I would be a 4.0 student with that scale...

Its not true trust me basically there is no +s or -s in any grading letter apart from As so their is just U , G , F , E , D , C , B A, A+.
And that is it so its normal its just a misunderstanding

A levels are much more difficult than american classes, trust me, I've been in both systems. I actually think the UK in tougher than american.
