I'm not sure, his variant of self healing is more advanced than Tsunade's - requiring no hand seals what so ever.
He's also able to survive something as excruciating as having a hole punched in him, to then quickly heal and continue to fight at 100% strength.
Damn I actually agree. :erm: You should create a thread regarding Kisame's regeneration being Top Tier, Current Kabuto> Kimimaro/Kisame > Hashirama/Tsunade?

The next chapter shows how his skin did not regenerate.

He place the Bones under his skin. Therefore, his skin was nothing but a layer of bones.

Tsunade would have regenerated from being crushed by the Sand. He still take damage, he doesn't heal from the damage, but reduce it by hardening his Bone.

Actually, it's possible that his kkg is the reason for his sickness, like Tsunade's regeneration, it shortened his life span. Because his core fighting abilities depends on destroying and creating new cells, his deterioration was more severe.

Regenerating from injuries is different to getting rid of illnesses.Physical damage can be regenerated not illnesses.
Like i said dafaq did i just read?
Are you saying the illness is not a physical damage? Do you think its mental? So Kimimaro just imagined he is sick? I can't follow your logic.

Nice work Proof.

I mostly watched the anime Part I wise, and to be honest that was on TV so I barely saw the initial parts of this fight; however, the part I do remember was that he survived Gaara's Sand burial which was badass...that and his hands would heal after splitting up from using bullets.

But going back over it...yeah he seems to have a pretty OP healing ability.

Kimimaro is a awesome Shinobi, what a shame he died at such a young age...

I would have lowed to see how strong he would have become later on down the line (I would personally expect that he would be recruited for the Akataski...)

Try and Picture this:

Kimimaro replacing Hidan and becomming Kakuzu's new partner, now that would be the true Immortal duo! :)

If he can regenerate himself, why was he sick?
His regeneration wasn't directly implied within the manga. It was more so passivey given due to his Kekkei Genkai; further more bringing up things such a "he was sick, why didn't he regenerate" doesn't refute the fact that he himself has regenerated, and is top tier.

Plus you can't regenerate from a disease.

Incorrect.. I don't recall Bone being able to be skin. Let me point out something to you in that same scan:

You see his jaw? It's been severed due to Gaara's pressurized sand, okay now check the next panel:

Skin obviously isn't bone, just because he reinforced his skin with bone underneath to suppress the damage head on, doesn't quite go with your assumption that it wasn't Self-Healing.

Plausible. Repped.

Exactly. I don't see how it ISN'T regeneration.. Kimimaro is OP.

He was already Low Kage level IMO, with the time-skip? He would have been well.. Probably on Hashirama's level

I was already aware of kimi's regeneration feats but nice thread, plus rep Proof.
Of course, Charles as a member of Team Turnt Up I expected nothing less.

That's a good idea bro. Sounds fun, I might actually do that.
I could help if you need any DB scans.
