Aslong as one has senses, and chakra, they can be placed in Genjutsu.

Genjutsu requires the user to send chakra into the opponent, where the chakra distorts the victim's chakra flow before flowing to their brain and altering their senses to see, hear, smell, taste, or feel whatever the user wants them to.

Kakuzu sees things, hears things, and has chakra. Thus, his senses can still be distorted the normal way. If he had no chakra, then you'd have a point. But he does, and thus, he's screwed. Due to this, Sasori should be just as screwed. His chakra core can be distorted just as easily. Or should, aslong as he has senses like a human. And he does... so yeah. Unless it's actually stated somewhere that he's immune to Genjutsu then that's GG.

Your whole theory is based on the fact kakuzu doesn't have a brain which is pure speculation, and your only back up is that your comparing him to sasori. Nice theory though, very thorough

Gama Rinsho only relies on the opponent having to hear the melody to paralyze both the opponent's nerves and mind(so even if he doesn't have a brain, his body would still be paralyzed so long as he heard the melody). The Pain's bodies(which you could argue don't actually have a brain, given they're under 100% control of Nagato) were still stopped by it.

I'm not so sure I buy Kakuzu not having a brain to begin with, but even if he didn't, Gama Rinsho is a genjutsu that would effect him.

Nice theory but i disagree. Sasori was a human who turned his body completely to puppet(except the core). But Kakuzu was a human who used the jiongo technique to take other hearts in order to survive. He didn't modify his body at all on the contrary of Sasori and since he was a human from the start, he still has brain, and thus not completely immune to genjutsu. Though you can argue that since his hearts could move on their own, they could act accordingly to let Kakuzu break free from genjutsu by implementing chakra on him and thus disturbing his chakra flow

I firmly agree with mr t bogard,common in the manga it explains how one can cancel genjutsu by putting their chakra into the person caught in the genjutsu to release him i.e creating a disturbance in the chakra flow network. so if kakuzu get caught in a genjutsu he would be freed by his mask element buddies well depends on the power of the genjutsu like k.a and tsukoyomi or maybe obito's genjutsu.
