Dropped Fairy Tail. Is Toriko any good?

So after a few days of thinking, I decided to drop fairy tail as it has become pure garbage. After chapters 321 and 322 of fairy tail which were very horrible, I decided to give the series one more chance by continuing on with reading the manga after a few arc's. I have done that and I've seen that the series isn't really going anywhere as far as plot goes and quality as well. It's just very boring to me now and not worth my time. If the series miraculously gets good again, I'll pick it up but for now, I'm dropping it.

Now coming to the next part of this thread. Is toriko any good? I've heard some good thing's about the series but I want more opinions before I start watching it.

I really enjoy toriko. To me it's like a mix of one piece and DBZ and its fun to watch. Plus it's about food! How could you not love it!?

I've heard it's slow in the beginning, but it picks up heavily a few arcs in. I've been thinking about starting it up again because I read the first few chapters and didn't really like it, but I've been seeing some recent stuff and it actually looks epic. Can't go wrong with giving it a shot!

Oh, other good ongoing stuff is HxH, Tower of God, One Punch Man, Beelzebub, and quite a few others depending on your preferences.

Toriko is a good manga, but not the greatest. You should read beelzebub. They come out on the same day but I prefer beelzebub more.

2.The Breaker and its sequel
3.Vinland Saga
4.Vagabond
5.D Gray Man(its been canceled, so I should probably replace it.)
All the above are greater than Toriko, Beelzebub and fairy tail.
Edit: As you can see from my list, I prefer realistic(as realistic as a manga can be) fighting manga over super powered ones.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Its level of awesomeness is beyond description.
Hunterxhunter. One of my favourite anime, miles better than naruto. But make sure you watch the 2011 anime and not the old version of the anime or read the manga. The manga looks like shite. >_>
Attack on Titan. Only 25 episodes long but really good. The story and action are unique and its 2013's top anime.
One Piece. The number 1 anime of all time. Its pretty long around 600+ episodes and the end is still nowhere in sight but I'm so glad I started this series. Best anime ever.
Death Note. This anime is also pretty short, around 35 episodes but the story and characters are top-notch.

Whatever you do, do NOT watch the anime. It's horrible because it's aimed towards kids.The manga is way more bloodier and serious. But yeah, Toriko > HST in powers and plot. Toriko is just that beast.
