[Discussion] Dressrosa remaining questions!

Ok guys, seeing as this arc is probably a hair past the halfway point; I thought I would just post my remaining thoughts/questions about what could potentially transpire. Feel free to share your own questions and provide feedback as well. Ok Anyways:

QUESTION 1

Will Luffy really get the Mera Mera?? Ok so at the beginning of the arc, I assumed that it was pretty much a forgone conclusion that Luffy would get the Mera Mera pretty easily during the tournament, but after Dofla has reveled how deceptive and manipulative he can be, I start to question if Luffy will really be able to obtain the DF.

QUESTION 2)

Will We see Doflamingo get taken down during this arc??? Doflamingo has proven to be not only a great antagonist, but a great character overall so I just wonder if Oda wants to keep him around for a while, or have him be taken out by the LawHat alliance.

QUESTION 3

Will we FINALLY see the two things that we've been waiting literally years for??? Of Course I'm referring to bounty increases and a new nakama. Ok, the last time we got a new member was 236 chapters ago in chapter 489, roughly 4 1/2 years ago, and the last time the crew got bounty increases was in chapter 435, 290 chapters agon which is roughly 5 years. I have been waiting for a while to see these two things happen and it seems like the setting is ideal her in Dressrosa for us to see a new nakama and new bounties. Lets hope I'm right.

How strong do the SHs need to become to conquer the grand line??? After seeing Dofla in action against Sanji, it's pretty clear that the SHs are going to have to earn it if they want to make it off of Dressrosa. They are going up against one of the strongest pirates int the series and a an Admiral.

One thing that I have definitely come to realize in this arc is that in the NW, EVERYONE is strong. Haki is common for most pirates and there are tones of big names that have strong will to become great pirates just like Luffy. I didn't think that the SHs trained for years to just walk right through the new world, I knew it would still be challenging, but I think we are going to see the crew have to make even bigger leaps in terms of strength as compared to pre-NW. This is only the beginning of the NW and I already see that the SHs are going to have to push themselves to their limit to accomplish their goals on this island, and make it off in one piece.

1. Maybe he might and he might not which is good for Oda because that means he can spin it anyway he wants

2. I hope not but something will happen to him either way. He hasn't been a strawhat antagonist but is clearly one for Law so we shall see

3.New nakama - no. New bounties - god I hope so, Luffy increase of 40 million, zoro increase of 30 million, sanji increase of 30 million, others I don't know but I want sanji to score over 100 million

4. 100% agree, the new world isn't for pushovers and everyone who has made it there has done the first half of the Grand line and survived, I hope we get to see some new abilities by doing 1v1 of the strawhats against the doflamingo pirates

Oda has so much potential for this arc it's actually crazy, I don't want him to rush it but also I hope he doesn't linger on it I mean it's the new world plenty of people to fight

I do think Luffy will obtain the Mera-Mera somehow, no matter how much Joker connives, Luffy wants that fruit more than anything right now.

No I do not, I think Kaido will either take him out later in the manga but possibly at the end of this arc. Depends how long this one is.

I certainly hope so, I want to see everyone's new bounties! I also want to see a New a World nakama be made, it seems like they're are a few candidates already. Dressrosa would be a great place to reveal the bounties because there are many up to date people around who get newspapers often.

They need to become a lot stronger, they're gonna get squashed at their current power levels if they continue like this

2. I do think he'll be taken out in this arc. He might reappear in later arcs with a different role.

3. New nakama: Perhaps, but I don't think so. Bounties: I sure hope so. The Strawhat's bounties are so low :l

1) I assume he will get it eventually one way or another and/or that a person of who he approves of either way will eat it.

2) Meh, maybe he loses the 'battle but not the war' or the Strawhats claim a 'rational victory'. Fact is that Doflamingo is actually one of the most build-up characters in OP. He has been introduced ages ago and the Strawhats regularly clashed with people or organizations that were related to Doflamingo. So it's highly doubtful he will leave the stage after just one arc.

3) I don't really have an opinion about new nakama. During the past two arcs and the current one people have been saying that pretty much any character that received some attention would become a new nakama. It's not even certain there ever will be a new nakama. Considering the Strawhats have been laying low for 2 years and they would mess up a Shichibukai, that should mean they get a bounty increase. I mean Doflamingo went so far as to lie to the entire world about stepping down of his position just to lure the Strawhats in.

4) That doesn't really have much to do with this specific arc. It would have been even weirder if Sanji actually could have done something against Doflamingo. We've known for a while now that conquering the Grand Line means going over the Yonkou, Shichibukai and the Marine admirals. That's not a hurdle you take after just 2 years of training. Now the New World itself is their training. After all you need to surpass all the mentioned above people as, despite their strength, they still haven't found the One Piece.

1) I think that he will get the fruit but not by winning the tournament. I can see the colosseum being destroyed for example.

2) Well, I surely hope not as he is my favorite antagonist so far. He has too much backstory for Oda to just strike him out in an arc's time. I also don't see him getting trolled by Luffy since he said many times that he is going to be very careful and he doesn't underestimate him. Him being too OP also makes it less likely for him to lose like Moriah for example.
I think before things get too bad for him he will escape somehow or leave before he gets knocked out by Luffy and co.
Also, don't forget that Doflamingo has the protection of the admiral (at least it looks like this so far) and also the CP0 guys.

3) Well bounties are of little importance anyway. As for the new nakama, I don't know. Many nominations, not much potential.

4) Well, it's just the start of the new world part so they obviously have way too much room for improvement. And improve they will, the hard way of course, as always.

i believe that Coby will get the fruit so that in future he will be the Orange Admiral to complete a set of secondary colours (Orange,Green and Purple) much like the Pre TS Admirals made a set of primary colours (Red,Yellow and Blue).

I'm hoping so. I think Law will warp Doflamingo into the water after clearing away the clouds with his room (or something like that) so that Doflamingo cannot pull himself out. He will get saved and Luffy will fight the weakened Doflamingo during his recovery period.

Luffy = 556 (gladiator number aswell)
Zoro = 370
Sanji = 333
Franky = 210
Robin = 160
Brook = 155
Violet = 120ish
Chopper = 5,000 beli OR if taken seriously 72 million
Nami = 60
Usopp = 52

Luffy = God tier
Zoro = lesser Yonkou level
Sanji = lesser Yonkou level (just below Zoro)
Franky = on par with Doflamingo or Marco (just below admirals)
Robin = just below Franky
Brook = just below Franky
Violet if she joins: In between the middle trio and the lower trio. Maybe about where the current m3 is
Chopper: Vergo's level
Nami: Vergo's level
Usopp: Vergo's level

They will all have at least one form of Haki. With only the lesser trio having just one. Luffy and Zoro will both have Haoshoku Haki.

1) I think Luffy will get the Mera Mera fruit but not by finishing the tournament. Zoro just arrived at the Colosseum, drop out participants are pissed with Doffy and try to escape, the factory is beneath them, so there's gonna be a ruckus at the Colosseum very soon. I also don't think the Mera Mera will end up with a strawhat.

2) Doflamingo is a well developed character with an interesting and important back story. I don't think this arc will be his end. Maybe he will be defeated in a way or another but I don't see him dying or disappearing any time soon.

3) Honestly I don't know about that. There's so much talking about this and many "good candidates" that's confusing. I was always under the impression that Luffy never wanted a very big crew, on the other hand to became a Yonkou or to have power in the NW you require a big crew, territories to claim your own etc,etc. It's a good time for a bounty raise. The SH challenged a Shichibukai, the marines along with an admiral is on the island and a tournament with many famous pirates is taking place. There's definitely going to be an uproar with Luffy&co in the center of it and since the navy is already informed about the SH appearance their bounty should rise.

4) Well, the strongest in the New World are the Yonkou, some Shichibukai and the admirals. They will have to surpass all them and reach a new level. For me Luffy being equal to them is not enough. The thing I want to see is the rest of the strawhats becoming stronger. Apart from the monster trio, which is developing very nice, I see the other crew members falling far behind. Of course they developed too, but for me it seems that most of them must always be protected from the strong ones in the New World. If Luffy wants to achieve his goal the whole crew needs to be strong and not rely to others to get through.
