This story takes place during the time-skip.

In an open field that is surrounded by a vast forest, the Legendary Sannin, Jiraiya, sits with his legs crossed as he reads a sexually expilicit book. The full moon illuminates the night just enough for the pervy sage to be able to see the contents.

Lying on the ground next to him is Naruto Uzumaki. Exhausted from yet another day of intense training, the determined boy is in a deep sleep. Thanks to Jiraiya's superb ability to focus,--a trait that all decent shinobi has--he completely blocks out his student's obnoxious snoring.

All of a sudden, Jiraiya is on his feet; something abruptly snags his attention. The usually easy-going man now has an extremely serious look on his face. He examines the perimeter of the forest, but not by using his sight alone. Jiraiya seeks out the threat by relying on his senses of smell and sound as well. The attempt is useless. The breeze blows away any scent that would have given him a hint to who or what lurks out there. Too many different noises caused by various creatures renders his hearing ineffective. The blackness within the woods is much too thick for Jiraiya's vision.

Finally, Jiraiya has an idea of the danger when a chill crawls down his spine that he has felt before.

He quickly settles into a defensive stance near Naruto. His eyes rapidly scanning the forest. "What are you doing here?! Show yourself...."

Jiraiya doesn't get a response.

Moments after the eery silence, a flock of crows emerges from the forest. The black birds fly until they get forty feet in front of Jiraiya. Their loose formation transitions into a compact one. A man begins to form as the crows come together, but not just any man. There stands the infamous shinobi, Itachi Uchiha.

Jiraiya moves directly between Itachi and Naruto. He then bites his right hand's thumb and marks his left hand's palm with the fresh blood. "Summoning: Gamakichi!"

A cloud of smoke poofs out of nowhere, then when it fades, a young orange toad with purple markings around his eyes, mouth, and stomach appears in front of Jiraiya.

"'Sup, bos-Ahhh! Is that Itac-"

"Yeah, it is." The Toad Sage interrupts. "Take Naruto as far from here as possible! If I don't summon you back here within two hours, then hurry to the Hidden Leaf Village and inform Kakashi of the situation. Though I don't think that'll be necessary." He says, but not as confident as he made himself seem.

Gamakichi appears to be reluctant to leave, but he does as his summoner commands. Gamakichi wraps his elongated tongue around Naruto--who's still sleeping like a baby--and places him in his back. The large amphibian then hops off into the darkness of the forest.

It is reassuring to see the boy alive and well. He shows extraordinary potential. Itachi says in thought. How unfortunate it is that I must continue to portray the role of the villian. I'd actually like to show appreciation towards this man for all of the good deeds he has done the village, yet it is not possible....

Jiraiya gets into his battle-ready pose and stares at the lower section of Itachi's body to avoid eye contact. "So, are you just gonna stand there? If you don't wanna speak, then how about we communicate with out fists?!" He suggests, a loud gulp in his throat follows and he has a hard time holding a composed facial expression.

Itachi stands there, calm as always. Forgive me, Jiraiya, but I fear that I mustn't hold back. You wouldn't allow me escape. I need to survive. There is something I need to do before I part from this world. "You are not as sure of your victory as you let on, I see." Itachi says, referring to Jiraiya's awkward body language.

It is not that the gutsy shinobi fears Itachi, it's just that he knows that death is a possibility when facing him. Jiraiya would very much like to see Naruto grow older and for the world to become more peaceful.

"Hmph! Say what you want! You're not laying a finger on Naruto!" Jiraiya charges at Itachi.

Author's Note
I won't take sides even though Itachi is my second favorite character and Jiraiya is like my 15th. This is going to be as fair and realistic as it can be!
How you like it? Is it worth contiuing?

You describe itachi's gesture thoughts well as if it were the actual manga, and his speech is great...
