Through analyzation and calculation, Kabuto suspects that significant events are to occur soon. Thus, he prepares by training and expanding his abilities in the legendary place that is equally as famous as Mount Myoboku, the home of the White Snake Sage, Ryuchi Cave.
Sitting down on a stone with his legs crossed, Kabuto meditates in his recently-achieved Dragon Sage Mode state. Behind him, a waterfall flows, except the liquid is snake venom instead of actual water. As Kabuto enters deeper and deeper into his consciousness, he drifts into a realistic hallucination. When he opens his eyes, he is startled by who he sees standing just 20 feet in front of him.
Kabuto: ........
A "deceased" legendary Sannin stands there with a smirk on his face.
Orochimaru: Kabuto...how much you've grown. Even your appearance has changed drastically. It seems my chakra has been of great use for you. Kehehehe.
Still in disbelief by this sudden, unexpected situation, Kabuto doesn't respond.
Orochimaru: Don't tell me you've forgotten me so soon after my....absence. No words for your dear old master?
Finally got a grip on what's happening, Kabuto slowly rises from his meditation position and is now able to speak.
Kabuto: Orochimaru-sama, how is it that you stand before me?...
Orochimaru: So, you haven't forgotten me? *chuckles* Well, being that you're the only person after me to enter Ryuchi Cave, this is a new occurence for me as well. Though, I assume that my essence forever remains in cave, thus it seems that I involuntarily appear to anyone who has entered his or her consciousness.
Orochimaru stares at his own arms and flexes his hands.
Orochimaru: How strange, I feel as if I am alive. I can feel my chakra flowing inside of this illusionary body of mine, yet it's physical nonetheless.
Kabuto: This appears to be reality, indeed. If you had not given your explanation, I would have thought that you were actually alive, in spirit and flesh.
Orochimaru: (Forgive me, Kabuto, but I must not even you of the possibility of my rebirth into the living, physical world.) Being that this all feelsss so realistic, let us spend this time we have with each other by battling, for old times' sake. How intriging it would be for me see how much you've grown. Kehehe.
Kabuto: Lord Orochimaru, it will be an honor to engage you in combat. With the display of my new abilities, I will give you even more reason to be proud to have chosen me as your apprentice.
Kabuto throws off his hooded cloak and tosses it to the side.
The master prepares to test his former student's growth and newly-found powers.
