I think the reason why drake let go of trafalgar law is because one time in drakes life he and corazon had a deep bond, perhaps corazon one time help drake to become who he is today pr perhaps drake help corazon to what he was become. Drakes father died at the hands of doflamingo and corazon died because pf doflamingo this might be the reason why they probably have a deep bond together, like a brother both their father died at hands of doflamingo they understood each other.
