Seriously, Hold On I'm going Home was a R&B song and sampled a R&B record to make the loop for the melody. He did more singing than rapping, just stop it.

I'll agree with you on that to a certain extent. But whether you want to accept it or not; fact of the matter is, Drake is still running the game. Regardless if he isn't the best lyricist out there. Rap has become more then just lyrics... either you accept that or forever bitch about how every mainstream artist sucks. Anybody can write good lyrics down on a notepad, but the same can't be said about hopping on the mic and making actual quality music. And that's what Drake does on a constistent basis.

Cole and Kendrick, who are among my favorite 3 rappers. You can say these two have more lyrical ability then Drake; but you can't say that Drake isn't capable of holding his own in comparison. He already has. So that's where consistency weighs in. Kendrick Lamar. Drops his debut album late 2012. 2013...? A single verse on Big Sean's Control track. Half way through 2014...? Nothing. And the same goes for J Cole. I'm not even going to go out of my way in listing everything Drake has done in the last two years, other then dropping damn near two classic albums. He's simply the better artist.
