I never thought I would still be in awe of how much better anime-games can look graphics wise. I remember playing Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 and thinking it looked great, and when I got my hands on Uzumaki Chronicles soon after that I also distinctly remember crapping my pants at how the game looked. I didn't think anime-games could look any better at the time—then the Storm 1 demo dropped. But these days we have hit the limits (for a good while at least) for majorly noticeable jumps in graphics, so with Storm 4 I was convinced that was as good as anime-games were going to be; maybe they'd look more crisp or have more particles, but the graphics themselves surely wouldn't make as much as a noticeable leap.

Well here I am, yet again in awe of these games somehow making another noticeable leap in graphics despite where we are now technologically. Sure, the fact that this game isn't full 3D may not quite make the graphics better than say Storm 4. Maybe something like this CANT be a full 3D game (right now) due to technical limitations. But god damn, this game not only looks gorgeous but it's also just so damn smooth and somehow NAILS all of the particle animations/effects such as the transformation lights/effects when Goku goes SS.

It's shit like this that makes me spend an unnatural amount of time gaming.
