Appearence
Gajeel is a tall and muscular man with long, spiky black hair, which is usually kept slicked back, revealing his forehead, red eyes with slitted dark pupils, and no visible eyebrows. Most of his exposed body is covered in sets of simple, round studs. The most visible studs are on his face, with three of them right above his eyes (acting as "eyebrows" of a sort), three on each side of his nose, and two on his chin, just below his mouth. His ears are adorned by two sets of five earrings each. He also sports four studs on each of his forearms, with his right one being covered in scars. Gajeel's usual outfit consists of a shabby, black, sleeveless tunic with studded edges, with a studded belt around his waist, loose whitish pants tucked inside studded black boots, and a pair of studded brown gloves paired with similarly studded wristbands. He also sports a distinctive wing-like ornament, seemingly made of feathers jutting upwards, over his right shoulder, attached to his tunic by a large stud.

Personality
Gajeel is has a short temper, seen when he and his friend Natsu bicker constantly over childish things. Like Natsu, Gajeel lives for the thrill of combat. Despite saying that he doesn't want to make friends, he tries in his own way to do so. However, he is completely and genuinely dedicated to which ever ninja he is affiliated with. Despite his cold personality, he has shown a humorous side of himself. Though with his age he seemed to change. He wasn't even an echo of his former self. From his appearence alone no one recognised him, as he left fairy tail and went in search of his own path. He adapted an Alias know as Atlas saying he was a "mage" who had come to hold the weight of the world on his shoulders. His once short temper seemed non existant as he became quite calculated and planned everything down to the last detail.
He became one that always thought ahead and never engaged in a battle that he knew he couldn't win. He made secret training towers which were made of his steel release, the dark color on the outside detered people leaving him to the peace he desired. Though he wouldn't admit it, he did indeed miss them, and always watched them to ensure they were safe.

His smell also being masked by Gajeel's own odour so that the two blend into one. Water Release
Gajeel is proficient in the arts of controlling water release, being able to create water jutsu without the need for a water source as well as not needing hand seals, being able to create water techniques with mere hand gestures showing his true skill in the element. He is also capable of doing this with his rain release as it's merely controlling water in a different form.

History
Not much is known of Gajeel. No one really knows who his parents are or where he was born. He was born in a small village in the mountains, and is able to use steel release but no one taught him. He claims that a Dragon taught him to use steel jutsu by the name of Metalicana. But, as so few have seen dragons in the ninja world, no one seems to believe him. By the age of 10 he left his village as he was always getting abused being called a liar and told that dragons don’t exist. He began to travel the world learning new skills.
Having mastered fire and earth before he left the village, Gajeel was able to work on his skills with his steel release developing his own fighting style. In doing so in increased his toughness and physical strength greatly. After leaving the village, he had nowhere to go and so he spend nearly 3 years living in a cave, taking care of himself. After living in the cave for 3 years, he would venture out of the mountains in search of Metalicana, hoping to find his “father” again soon. On his travels his met a few ninja who would them teach him the ninja ways of the basic elements and nin, gen and taijutsu.
All the time he would train, mastering steel release to the extent that he could perform even the hardest techniques with just one handseal, promising that one day, he would show Metalicana and make him proud.
After much travelling he found himself at the gates of another village where a man, Nathan, invited him to join them. It was weird for Gajeel having lived alone for so long but he found a way to pass the time, by training and acquiring rivals. First of all was the Salamander, Blackcrow. These two would constantly fight trying to prove who was the best dragon slayer. To this day they can't see each other without fighting. But it seemed to be more of a friendship thing, than a blood lust fight.
In between Gajeel would train with other people, Beifong would go on to teach him how to hone his skills in steel, Korra, started to show him the way of the snake as they were decendents of the dragons. Nathan saw the true potential of Gajeel, bestowed upon him what we know as a curse mark but what Gajeel believed to be the power of the dragons, Dragon force. To keep an eye on him Nathan would also teach him the way of the sword slowly helping to master a new set of skills.
It was in the village that an Arrogant ninja named Laxus lived, the lightning specilist that would keep starting fights with Gajeel as his steel kept getting shocked by lightning. He decided to master lightning himself so that the paralysis wouldn't work on him so he would be more resistant and be able to beat the crap out of Laxus. Along with his lightning Gajeel honed his skills with wind so that his punches would create a more distructive power along with his steel release.
Gajeels life wasn't all about training though. He met many friends along the way, Krypticc, Anbu Junior, Flash, Yanks, Ooran, Nathan, Korra, Ali, Zanji, Orochimaru and many more... such as Ian.
Following these events, Gajeel disappeared for years into the shadows. He wanted to search who he truely was and took on new alias named Atlas, saying he would be the one to carry the world on his shoulders. He found an ancient staff called Glamring and designed his own clothes in form of what most would describe as mage attire (shown above), wondering around the world learning all he could, observing how different villages did different things, each one in their own way struggled with day to day life, but it through poverty, war, greed of others. Over the years Gajeel lost touch with who he once was becoming more calm and at one with himself, thinking things through, planning. He wasn't the man he once was and he wasn't even sure if he knew who he was anymore.

Description: After opening the first level of the seal, the user forcefully opens the seal completely, unleashing the full extent of Senjutsu Chakra contained in it which floods his body. Because this Senjutsu Chakra is raw and is fueled by the enzymes extracted from Jugo's DNA, the user will experience a physical transformation unique to him. As the seal opens, the previous black markings glow almost like fire and grow covering the user completely. As the transformation ends, his skin gains a grayish tone, his sclera becomes black and his eyes change in shape. The transformation is unique from user to user but always has some animalistic feature to it. While active, the seal actively consumes the users chakra in order to produce and fuel Senjutsu Chakra into his body.While in this stage the user gains +20 damage to his elemental Ninjutsu and +30 to his Taijutsu. His physical strength is improved as is his speed. Once it deactivates (regardless of being willed or timing out) it leaves the user drained of stamina for 2 turns as well as unable to mold chakra above A-Rank or use Taijutsu above B-Rank for 2 turns. His speed drops drastically ( 2 base ranks ) as the damage and pain produced by the stress on his body overcomes the user. After those 2 turns, the user regains some of his ability to mold chakra, with each turn increasing by one the rank of chakra he can mold.
Note: Lasts for 6 turns.

Description: Glamdring is a staff forged in the days before the first great ninja war. It was forged out of chakra metal that was triple folded to increase it's strength. It has a retractible blade on the end which can be passively created, which was triple forged to hone the blade to make it as sharp as physically possible. When it was forged the steel was constantly being infused with earth chakra similar to method of the
(Doton: Keijūgan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Light Weight Rock Technique. In doing this they removed the weight of the steel to un-hinder it's movements. The staff being as thin and light as possible allowed it to be swung through the air with ease with next to no air resistance. Due to the triple folded steel the staff can only be destroyed by S rank power (Or two A ranks and so on). This sword has several unique properties:
Sting: The staff draws on 5 chakra per turn to emit chakra short range around itself that can't be seen, when ever a foreign chakra enters this field it will glow a bright blue for all to see. So if the user is hidden in the trees and an enemy is close, the staff will shine to alert the wielder. Not only this, but the staff will grow warm also.
Strike: The sword/staff being made of chakra metal being infused with earth element makes it highly adaptable to the weight jutsu. In an instant the user can activate the added weight jutsu increasing the weight of the sword x10 to increase it's destructive damage. Due to this they can cut through attacks of A rank and below due to the sharpness of the blade (within reason). The sudden increase in weight and force behind the strike releases wind currents (without being wind element) around the sword two feet on either side.
Arcane: This isn't really an ability but more of a passive effect making the staff adaptable in combat. With jutsu that require the user to make hand gestures rather than hand seals, the user will swing the staff to achieve the same result. For example, if the user needed to swing his hand up to raise and earth pillar from the ground, he could make the motion with the staff, using the motion of the staff to raise the earthen pillar. This would include if the user needed to slam his hand on the ground or stomp the ground, instead he would touch the ground with the staff.
Magi: This is a method of great chakra control. The user will spend one of their moves per turn to release chakra around the end of the staff to create a structure of a weapon. This weapon will be dark in color like the staff, and it can only be one of the following, a fan, a gunbai or a hammer. It can be up to 1 ft around the staff, is B rank, ranks, lasts 1 turn and counts as a move per turn.
Note: Sting ability is constantly active and saps 5 chakra from the user.
Note: Strike can be used 3 times per battle, happens instantly increasing the weight of the whole sword. Counts a move per turn, and must wait two turns to use again.
