I bought Dragon Ball Xenoverse for the ps4 because I absolutely adored Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for the ps2, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. I really liked the idea of creating your own character (even though it wasn't really all that detailed) but the rest of the game wasn't very good in my opinion, so I'm not looking forward to its sequel.

Imagine if you could create like a team of 1-4 characters and do local coop battles Tenkaichi 3 style against hundreds of other characters. And have like multiplayer tournaments with some random rewards. Perfect Dragon Ball game to me.

It was like tenkaichi 3, not quite as good(due to the psp lacking buttons) but close. It was good nonetheless.

I hope they give an original story this time. Xenoverse story was pretty unique for a DBZ game at least. I really don't want to play through the Saiyan Sagas to Buu Sagas again.

Funny thing is you probably think the opposite of the storm games in terms of being crap.

What would you like to see in a DBZ game to call it good?

Seeing as how this is commong from a forum predominantly of Naruto fans and the subject is an anime game i assume it would have to have the typical horse shit qualities of the storm series.

Like a fighting system that requires little to no skill to play well (wich is a middle finger to hardcore fighting gamers), with repetitive gameplay that consist of spaming the attack and sub buttons with a a very limited 3 combos to choose from. Also not to leave out having no real improvements to the gameplay wth each new installation to the point the gameplay and games overall actually seem to be getting worse.

The tenkaitchi series alone rapes the storm series in terms of qaulity gameplay so just imagine what the budokai series does to it lol.

I will admit however that the first storm game was great so I am not incuding it with the sequels on terms of quality gameplay.

Hm, to me, the main storm-games (1,2,3) story mode with their boss-battles were great. I really liked and enjoyed them. But I play games only for their story-modes, not vs-mode.
"Hardcore"-gamers who want a big challenge, will feel disappointed. These games are just a matter of opinions. Some people like them, some hate them.

If you ask me, online-battles are like cancer in all fighting games.
99% of the people will spam the cheapest combos/techniques and use broken game-mechanics like combo-loops. There is zero fun to play against other people.

Not interested unless they push the release to 2017 or even 2018. They need to reevaluate their entire mindset on the franchise. Though only one sentence needs to be said. Make another budokai 3 and we give you our money's . Lots of our money's.
