it was implied time and time again ever since his first appearance, that gohan had the most potential. by the end of dbz gohan was by far the strongest non fused char. even during that tournament saga in dbs vegeta said gohan had the most potential of them all.

i thought it was lame, how weak he had become during dbs. i wished he had a bigger role as trunks mentor in this future trunks arc. however, we did see a change of mind. once when he was defeated during golden frieza saga, and once when he heard about trunks future. and the last time we saw gohan, he had a totally different look on his face (he kinda looked fierce like in the past) thats also why trunks got all weak and teary, when he saw him at the last scene. besides, gohan was all sweaty, didnt have his glasses on and was in attendance of piccolo, his mentor =) i think thats a pretty clear implication that we gonna see his potential rise again! i cant wait!

hopefully theres good character development in this hit arc & im sure the goku vs hit fight will be amazing after the black arc experience

It be more fascinating to see who did actually request the assassination of Son Goku, who could that possibly be? But wait, and how exactly is Hit going to travel between the universe's?. That's another good question. Maybe Champa actually gave hit the Cube as a present, since he got his wish after all.
