Dragonball isn't 'classic anime' anime goes a lot further back. Dragonball was inspired by the likes of Astro Boy and Akira.

so? most sucesfull manga artists today, where still inspired by dragon ball, than older mangas like astro boy, which they probably never even watched before. also dbz was ahead of any action based manga ever created, the story and the fights were just soo epic, it drew people nuts, not even naruto or bleach were able to execeute that, therefore dragon ball is still better.

thats totally subjective. DBZ was inspired by those and so Naruto is indirectly inspired by those as well.
