Dragon ball/DBZ/Subbed

I've been hearing a lot about DBZ lately and my cousin told me to go watch it. So I started watching Dragon Ball and it got kind of boring and I hear that DBZ is way more epic. So my question is, can I start with DBZ and watch DB later? I have a feeling this is just like FMA, where people say you need to watch Brotherhood and you can skip the original series.

And my second question, is there anywhere I can watch it subbed? It seems pretty much everyone has the dubbed version. Now I know that the dubbed version is better but I'm just a subbed guy, I know Goku's voice is too light but I just love the japanese voices. Anywhere I can get a subbed version?

Not really, DB is mixed with dogs as kings but DBZ is like all humans with alien races. Dragon Ball is better IMO. I hate the japanese acting for it personally.

Actually it did air in the Netherlands, it was on Yorin and Cartoon Network.
Maybe you were just a bit to young to watch it back then.
But if you want i can direct you to a site, and you can watch DBZ first and then Dragonball cause Dragonball itself is awesome aswell.

If you're a guy who's all about the plot/character development/consitency/adventure then DB is what you should watch first.

If you're a guy who loves fighting/action then you might as well disregard DB and go straight to DBZ first, although DB does have action, but not nearly the amount that DBZ has.

I love both, but I prefer DB because I'm one who loves all the points I made in the 1st statement.

Db is much better story wise character wise and action wise. since its pure martial arts and everyones relatively close in power which forces them to use strategy and intelligence to win fights.
