I'm aware that creating threads on a topic that already has a pre-existing thread is not encouraged, but how should one avoid doing so? I'm sure this happens on a daily basis anyway, but I want to try my best not to make threads that already have been created. But there's also the dilemma of re-creating a thread for the sake of having a topic or question more thoroughly answered or addressed, so would that count as a thread repeat which would be a violation? This is my first day as a member so i'd like to avoid any infractions :)
Thanks for the insight

I mean, as long as they are not DRASTICALLY the same.

E.X: If I were to make a thread with a theory on Kaguya and you'd make the same thread, that would be spam.

But I mean, if you were to make a thread based with a different theory, I wouldn't say that's spam since you're just giving a different insight.

Sorry if I didn't answer your question completely, I'm terrible with being straightforward lol

LOL no that was actually a great response. I understand what you mean. As long as the content of the topic is not entirely the same it should be okay right? Cool

Very Good :)

Use Search bar to see if the threads you want to create already existed or not.If existed check the date when that thread is created & see your current date. You can reply to that thread if it is not One month old & if it is One month old avoid reply to it as it is fell into dead thread as in this Forum Rule

Bumping Dead Topics: Bumping a topic that has not been posted in over a month is considered SPAM. If a specific forum's rules note a different time frame for classifying a thread as "dead", that is the time frame that you are to follow. One month is the standard time frame for classifying threads as "dead".

Follow Forums Rules to avoid getting infractions which leads to Ban>>>>>>

You can create another thread if the thread you want to create is not existed or is dead according aforesaid forum rule only if it deems to be worth of discussing.Feel free to drop a PM to me if you have any doubts

Repetition is bound to happen... so I doubt you'll receive an infraction. Just make sure you don't post the exact same topic in the same day.

Even if the topic of a thread is somewhat the same, it's the difference in how you build up your argumentation or post itself that matters. Half of the time, people just post

"Kakashi > sasuke cause reason X"
discuss

Obviously, that will just be trashed. If you actually give a decent amount of arguments (note: if your argument is just going to say why someone is better and can't take any criticism or can't discuss normally and acknowledging someone else's points, we'll delete it as well) it won't be trashed.
