ehm right, back to your question..
Doton or earth release is one of the five basic elements in the NP RP which allows the user to manipulate the earth around you for offensive or defensive purposes. Earth Release techniques have the ability to change the strength and composition of the earth from being as hard as metal to as soft as clay. e.g You can use earth to make a shield out of the earth surrounding you, it can also used for concealment and transportation.
Doton has 3 forms;
- Dirt
- Mud
- Rock.
Earth is strong against water, because it can block and absorb it. Earth is weak against lightning, because it can simply pierce the earth and crumble it down and earth is a good lightning conducter.
Earth chakra is needed for the following 2 KG's:
- Wood Release: You need earth and water to grow the trees
- Lava Release: You need earth and fire to create lava
Some earth release users I know are: Kakashi / 3rd Tsuchikage and his granddaughter Kurotsuchi

You missed out on a few kg and such but It's nothing big. Earth can also be used to create the dust release, steel release and blast release, three very dangerous kg or kekke tota in the case of dust release. Other than that, you've got it pretty much down packed.
Here's a little list of the strengths and weaknesses of earth to the basic elements;
A-Rank earth > A-rank water
A-rank earth = S-rank water
A-rank earth < A-rank lightning
A-rank earth = B-rank lightning
A-rank earth = A-rank Wind
A-rank earth = A-rank fire
When it comes down to earth verses wind or fire, It's usually equal to it, but as with every jutsu, the effectiveness depends solely on size, shape and affects of each jutsu.. For example, you use the A rank wind blade vs An A rank earth wall which is both tall and wide... That wind won't have enough area of effect to damage the entire wall, instead it'll simply affect the point it hits; though it could end up crumbling the entire wall if you hit it in the proper places..
When in comparison towards KG's and hidden abilities, this is earth's Strength and weaknesses:
Strengths:
- Raw chakra
- Rain
- Ice
- Dark
- Scorch
- Bug techniques
- Steam
Weaknesses:
- Lava
- Wood
- Crystal
- Storm
- Steel
- Boil
- Blast
- Sand
- Shikotsumyaku

Neutral:
- Sage chakra
- Biju chakra
- Paper Ninjutsu
As you can see earth is very versatile and strong against a lot of things, though it is also weak to a handful of things. The good thing is that most of those weaknesses are advanced skills but can also be avoided with the right, skillful use of earth. As long as you have a vast imagination you can go very far with this element.
Now, getting into the practical point of view, get into a meditative pose and begin to concentrate on this new-found earth chakra. Begin to channel it throughout your entire body and into the earth that is around you. I want you to feel and become one with this nature as we train... Visualize how the earth's texture feels against your skin, focus on the look of earth, the natural aroma of the earth, the taste that tiny debris of earth let into the air, just become one with it period..

- I sit down on a rock with my feet crossed, my index fingers touching my thumb. -
I start concentrating to be able to feel the earth chakra deep within me, I feel its chakra seeding through my entire body. I send it into the rock underneath me straight into the ground. This makes it possible for me to feel the earth's texture, its strenght and its weaknesses that's right behind it (picture).
I can sense the taste of the tiny debris of earth let into the air, its natural aroma. its desires to become stronger that anything else!
