Alright, let's start simple.
First off, why do you want to learn Earth?

 

[Salad]

I would like to learn Earth Release as it is compatible for various different situations allowing the user to develop excellent defense and brutal attacks.

Take this rock and run your chakra through it.
What do you think Earth chakra might feel like?

 

[Salad]

I grasp the rock and drive my palm into it, I then concentrate my chakra gradually building it up, I then release this energy I forged in segments throughout the core of the rock, and then I start to feel as if I inherit some of Earth's chakra. I then answer my Sensei's question "It may feel like a solid substance from the outside, but inside it is soft and delicate.

Well, let's go over some fundamentals. What might be the strengths and weaknesses of Earth? Also, why might it be important to be creative when utilizing it?

Earth release is strong against Water type jutsus as it naturally contains water therefore it can simply devour all the water and disrupt it's chakra, Earth is however weak to Lightning as Raiton can travel through it easily and destroy the solid structure of Earth. A major advantage of Earth is it can be found nearly everywhere making it useful in many circumstances being from soil and rocks etc.. If you are creative, Earth would be great for you as you can manipulate it's shape for different purposes as in forming a rigid wall.

 

[Adachi]

Pick up that rock you dropped earlier.
Proceed to create a weapon that could be:

• Offensive.
• Defensive.
• Creative.

I kneel down to the floor and grasp the rock firmly. Once I do so I begin to manipulate the rock's state making it form into a rigid wall which is capable of standing up to low ranked jutsus. I then revert it's shape and manipulate it's form into mud which I use to shoot at the enemy. Once I reverse the mud into the rock I begin to use my creative mind to manipulate it's state into mud which I release onto the ground, I then use (Suiton: Mizuame Nababara) - Water Style: Starch Syrup Capture Field which by utilising the sticky properties of my suiton chakra and the mud, it creates a very sticky mixture which is very hard to overwhelm by just force.

I made that on the spot, so if that doesn't work I'm sorry :T_T:

Descripton: Creates small pillars of earth, small tools, and small shields of earth

Alright, now let's dive fully into the Earth Element. For this next jutsu, I want you to send your Earth chakra within yourself and then become one with the Earth by sinking fully into it. Once you have, I will then place my clone on the place where you were originally. Then stick your hands out of the Earth, grab my clone around his legs, and then pull him deep into the Earth while pulling yourself out at the exact moment.

First I begin to concentrate my chakra, as the level of intensity rises I gradually import and channel the chakra throughout my body, this allows me to become one with the Earth around me then, due to the compatibility I sink right into the ground beneath me, upon finishing I start to slowly walk towards your clone's direction, I move in this manner as I would prefer to be unnoticed by my foe, thus he won't be able to electrocute me in the process. As I stand underneath the clone, I stretch out my hand of the mud and grasp his legs pulling him inside so only his head is visible, I do this with so much force that I'm able to get out myself.

Very well done. To mold earth is also a lot like to become one with it. You will find that many Earth techniques require you to go underground, so begin to get accustomed to it soon.
Furthermore, this jutsu can only be done in short range. Once you trap your opponent, he should be completely immobilized so it would be easy for you to finish him off.

Description: The user, emerging from the ground below the target area, pulls down the opponent so that only their head is above ground. Unable to move, the opponent can easily be decapitated or tortured.

Let us move on. Using the same concept you used to create your dagger, I want you now to create a staff out of this small rock here Remember to channel your chakra through it and "mold" like clay.
After you create that staff, proceed to throw it at my wooden target dummy here.

What other ways could you utilize such a weapon?

I grasp the rock firmly in the grip of my hands and then gradually channel my chakra into the cores of this small object. Once completed all of these steps, I use shape manipulation to reshape this clay substance, into a average sized staff, which I throw by lifting my hands high with the staff held firmly and the tip of the staff facing the dummy's direction. Once released it travels with high velocity and upon contact with him, the staff proves too overwhelming, leaving the area it hit with blood flowing out rapidly.

I suppose this weapon, could be helpful to defend against weak projectiles and some water type techniques which aren't widespread.

Good response. ^^ Well, let's also discuss close combat a bit.
Say that you were locked in a close range fight with me, where would you strike me first with that staff to deal the most impact?

I would probably strike at the stomach.

Well, the reason why I would hit the stomach is because it is very fragile and sensitive, as it makes it difficult for the victim to breathe due to your diaphragm expelling air in the process. You can also attempt to hit the neck or the genitals but it's not as recommended since it has a much smaller surface area, meaning the chances you will hit on target are much limited than when you strike the stomach.

Better, better. =D Furthermore, imagine you and an opponent both holding a staff with two hands, locked against one another, balancing enough weight so that you guys are basically equal in power, pushing against one another.
You can then release your power, forcing him to tumble towards you so that you can strike his chest, but your idea of hitting his arms was also great.

The user can then use it as a melee weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy at their opponent. A variation of this technique allows the user to create several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.

Moving on. Once again, we'll be dealing with the technique of releasing your chakra into the ground.
For this jutsu, I would you like to send your Earth chakra into the ground and then focus on lifting sections of the Earth to move them around my clone.
Think of my clone as the hot dog and your rocks as the bun. Once you think you have stable control of the Earths you have gathered, smash my clone together.
