Imma be correcting somethings later on, but for now we'll continue. Then I will call thee Ahmed-sandpie from now on :3
Doton or Earth Realease is one of the five elements a shinobi can manipulate. This element enables you to change the whole terrain into a huge hole, mountain or whatever landscape you have in mind (example: a terrain filled with spikes so that your opponent has to be careful of where he jumps/steps)
This elemental release also gives you a large amount of possibilities to defend yourself since Doton, in my eyes, is mainly an element to be used either in order to defend yourself or to help you distracting your opponent or getting closer to him. (Example: the first Doton jutsu is very good since it can force your opponent to be knocked aside etc...)
The difference between Doton and Raiton is very simple, yet very important. Earth Release is obviously weaker than Lightning Release. Both of the elements can be used to pierce your opponent (earth spikes and a lightning spear), but since Lightning Release has an overall higher piercen capacity than Earth Release's condensity, the lightning can pierce through earth.
Doton is the only solid element out of all five and can thus be used as a solid shield to defend yourself from the other elements. However, since both Wind Release and Lightning Release have a high piercing/cutting capacity, they can cut through Doton.
Fire Release and Water Release can be blocked by Doton. Since those two elements don't have that much of a piercing capacity, Doton is a good element to defend yourself against those two.
I think I named a few useful and troublesome abilities already ^_^
Ps: I got all this since Hard told me to read some fights before I actually started rp'ing![]()
Yes, even the combo can use whatever, but has to be based on a jutsu from the rank we're finishing.I see. So when I have to make a counter I can use whatever element I want, even though I didn't learn it yet?
I have no other question Ahmed-sandpie!
As I catch the rock, I sit down with my legs crossed and close my eyes. As I do so I start channeling chakra into the rock that lays on both the palms of my hand. I start thinking of the earth, every step that I have taken on it, everytime I have fallen on it, everytime I hit the ground with my hands, ass, legs, feet or even head. I imagine the sea, large amounts of water while also maintaining the image of the rock. I then merge both of the images and the rock becomes liquid, no... It becomes clay like and I feel like I can shape it in any way I want. While this happens in my mind, my chakra actually does the same to the rock I am holding and it becomes kneadable. I then imagine the shape of a kunai and use my chakra to make the rock take the shape of the kunai.Yes, even the combo can use whatever, but has to be based on a jutsu from the rank we're finishing.
*Throws you a rock*
Hold this rock while channeling your chakra into it. While doing so, close your eyes and focus on meditating. Clear your mind from anything but the thought of how to make the rock part of you. Remember any experience you've had with mud, sand or rocks. Once you get a goosebump-like sensation, imagine the rock becoming like clay, becoming obedient to your hands, taking whatever shape you mold it into. Once you can mold the rock in whichever way you want, make a kunai out if.
Nice! You've just manipulated the shape of the rock. Using this same concept, you perform:As I catch the rock, I sit down with my legs crossed and close my eyes. I then imagine the shape of a kunai and use my chakra to make the rock take the shape of the kunai.
A very common counter to this move is nagashi. I think a way of avoiding that possibility is using this jutsu with the intention of using a nagashi yourself. Simply, to use a nagashi right after you grab your opponent. This way, even if he uses a nagashi they cancel each other out and you still get to pull him down. Except you can't say the ground is hardened in this case.Once again I start channeling Doton chakra, but this time into the ground underneath me and you. I use all the gathered chakra to make the ground almost kneadable underground so that I can easily dig through it. Once he ground has entered that state, I start digging into the ground towards the position I last saw you at. While I am doing so, I keep sending chakra into the ground above me so that that once again becomes harder so you can't see where I am digging at all. Once I have reached your position I make a large amount of earth underneath you enter the same kneadable state so that I can easily pull you in it. I do so by grabbing your leg and pulling you downards, thanks to the fact I have something to pull at it is easier for me to quickly jump out of the ground and as I touch the surface, I make the ground harden rendering you unable to move.
I think that an advantage of this move is the fact that you can dig into the ground and thus evade an attack while also attacking your opponent at the same time.
A disadvantage is that the opponent can easily make the earth shake/turn into spikes/rise etc... in order to hurt or make you visible.
Nice. You've learnt:I walk over to a rather large rock and grab a kunai in which I gather a rather large amount of chakra. The blade gets extended and sharper which allows me to cut of a chunk. As I get a hold of the chunk, I close my eyes and start sending Doton chakra into it. While doing so, I concentrate on the image of a staff. Once I have gathered enough chakra in the rock, I -once again- use it to change the hard rock into a kneadable substance. Using my chakra, I shape the substance into the staff I was picturing in my mind.
This jutsu is very usefull in close combat since you can pretty much create a second weapon (going from the fact that you have a sword) and thus surprise your opponent. Now as for how I would do that, I would swing my sword downwards so that I would cleave the head of my opponent in halve. The latter would be forced to look up or look at the sword and I could create a staff in my other hand (which he wouldn't see) and pierce his heart/lung/neck with it.
( Doton: Iwa Rendan ) - Earth Release: Rock BarrageI concentrate and start sending my Doton chakra in the air around me and in the top layer of the ground. Using the gathered chakra, I make lots of dust particles fly towards my arms and make them form rings around them. As the rings are formed, I use the chakra in the particles to shoot them towards a tree. The rings would hit the tree and rip parts of it trunk of.
I guess this jursu can be useful when your opponent launches some weapons at you. The rings would deflect the weapons and continue towards the opponent.
