Don't you think Neji should've left the hidden leaf village around the same time as Sasuke?

I feel that staying in that village and getting too attracted is the reason why he ended up dead. I think he could've become A LOT stronger if he had left the village and gone down a dark path like Sasuke.

That's what I hate most about this manga, everybody turned into Naruto fangirl. They all training and thinking about Naruto. like WTF? Become the best version of yourself for yourself. Not Naruto!
