The topic is a bit different and is about bleach.

I have a question. What so special does the turniation into an arrancar give to a hollow? Shinigami abilities, in which way?
Hollows start to look similar to shinigami while not in the released state, it's okay. They have sword, and that, obviously is their only advantage of beeing an arrancar.
When they release their sword they become a hollow. They dont have SHikai nor Bankai, they cant use demon Magic, while ressurected, they jut get their hollow abilities back. In their non-released form they just lose their powers
volvo 2.4 technical spo seems like, it's like a seal which you can remove and become a hollow again.

Now vizards. You are a shinigami with shikai and bankai. You get an ability to wear a mask which drastically increases your powers. You can use kideo spells. You can cast cero + probably some things we have neve seen, as we havent seen a NORMAL vizard in action for a long time.


No, the thread wasnt made to raise a discussion about who is better - vizards or arrancar, i guess the answer is obvious
The question is: what's the point of becoming an arancar. Only to look like a human? TO have a sword? Actually I dont see any more benefits.

release is only a seal, like kenpachis. Instead of having their full abilities in stock (as normal menos do) they need to do resureccion to have them ;/ And they can be kild before they can do that, that's the most ridiculous thing *NNoitra vs Neliel*.

Cero power depends on hollow power. It wasnt told anywhere that black cero was created by arrancarization, for instance.

Negative, their resureccion are the equivalent of a shinigami's Shikai, and in ulquiorra's case, his second resureccion is the equivalent of a Bankai.

The reason they gain remnants of their old appearance(they don't revert) is because unlike shinigamis, their Zanpaktou don't have personalities, instead their Zanpaktou are just a fragment of themselves, in a sense, they merge with their Zanpaktou.

This does give them abilities, the most obvious is the recently shown ability of Barragan, his death breath, come from his Zanpaktou. Most regular hollow, gillian or adjuchas class, have never been shown to be able to use any abilities other than cero.

Also, the Arrancar gain Hierro.

For instance Grand fisher had his special abilities or the hollow which killed Rukias vice-captain. Gillians dont have a special ability just because they lost their individuality and when they become an arrancar, they seem to gain abilities of a dominating hollow. Or in AAronieros case, he got the abiities of his dominating hollow - the one who can absorb other hollows.
Or grimmjow - he got his panthera appearance and some (PROBABLY) hollow techniques. Allright, I cant prove because we havent seem him fight with some stuff while beeing a hollow.

You're right about hierro, that's a benefit. However only vs weaker enemies. Captains can still cut through Hierro.

An arrancar can use every single ability he or she had as a hollow, their resurrection enhances them.

In Aaronieros case, his shapeshifting ability was something he gained from being an arrancar.
