hmm, that statement with Itachi is a little questionable. Not the blood thing but Itachi makes handseals so fast that even a Sharingan struggles to keep up with it. He might just be doing the handseals so fast that no one notices :dunno:

But seriously, I don't know whether summonings can really be done without hands or not. Someone mentioned the idea that it was the Sage who conducted the jutsu while the others put their chakra into it along with him. I think Kabuto and Orochimaru did something similar when Oro had no arms to use. Maybe summoning with no hands is possible for high-tier shinobi but I was just saying Itachi wasn't the best example to use since we've heard of his extreme speed when it comes to handseals in the past. But you could be right, there's just not enough info for us to make a one better assumption than another IMO

Well consider this. Ftg is essentially reverse summoning. And it's been done plenty of times without handseals. Or for example every use of food cart destroyer.

To me like every other jutsu your mastery of it depends on how little seals it takes (since seals are only needed to assist in molding the chakra) Mei and Tobirama use water dragon in 1 while Zabuza and Kakashi use 44.
