Oh, yes, I remember my chemistry teacher in primary school who had many complexes, the main one because she is 'university professor who has fallen to teaching in primary school'. She was totally obsessed with teaching chemistry, like it's the only subject we have. From 70 students in my generation, only six of them had A. So, once she asked me to go on some chemistry competition and I refused. She was pretty angry since then and she started chasing me in school and even threatening me, saying she will give me F as a final grade. I told her she has no right to give me that and then she offered me a test ''to see what I can I do''(she said) because I didn't do some tests when I had flu and didn't go to school. I said fine, but I didn't tell this to my parents. So I was studying day and night for this test and I did it. Test was really hard and not the one she often gives on regular tests, but since everything was correct, she didn't have choice but to give me A+.
Then she requested me to come to extra classes (which are only for those who take part in some competitions, by the way and aren't necessary) because ''everything we study isn't good enough for A''. I mean, who is she to tell what is enough or not? Everything we study is decided by our system and edicts about education, she can't change that! XD
Oh, I remember one class. I suddenly started yawning and, of course, chemistry teacher saw it and asked: ''Why are you yawning?!''. I answered: ''Well, teacher, my brain needs oxygen. Yawning expressed two lacks: lack of sleep and lack of oxygen''. Whole class started laughing. Teacher was furious. XD
So, yes, I totally understand you. -_-
