Don't you hate how Naruto take credit for the war?

This is an interesting thread with a lot of well constructed arguments, and it's definitely a subject I think about often. Obviously, the answer to this question is highly subjective, and I don't believe there is a single right answer. I like reading everyone's opinion on the matter, though, and I hope this discussion goes on.

That genjutsu was going to be used against sasuke but because naruto met with itachi, itachi was released from the control of kabuto leading to ''cancel'' edo tensei.

Itachi was free because of his actions, not Naruto's action. Naruto didn't do anything. Regardless of what the original intention was. Itachi freed himself.

It was Sasuke who stood tall while Naruto was crying.

It was Sasuke who resisted the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
It was Sasuke who help stop Kaguya.
It was Sasuke who help undo the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Sasuke basically did everything. Hell.. had they listen to him about killing Obito then Madara or Kaguya wouldn't have been a thing.

It's funny they look at Naruto as the hero. When Sasuke put in more work than him.


Naruto only list of accomplishment that differ from Sasuke would be the Zetsu crisis. Did Naruto even motivate the Shinobi Alliance? How many times did he lose his will to fight? LOL. I'm not shitting on Naruto accomplishments, but it's kind of messed up how they leave Sasuke out.

If naruto wasn't there Itachi would still have been Edo tensei and sasuke would lose to kabuto . Had not naruto been there obito stomps sasuke because he has no senjutsu also without naruto limbo clones kill sasuke also sasuke. Falls in lava when kaguya attacked him also obito would have killed everybody in the Barrier and much more

I'm not arguing that Naruto didn't do anything because he did. They made it seem like he alone saved the world.

He alone did save the world. Ater they defeated Kaguya... who would have defeated Sasuke when he went ape shit and put all of the Bijuu into the CT cores? Sure Sasuke helped Naruto a little against Kaguya, but Sasuke didn't help Naruto defeat Sasuke.

So to finish, Sasuke helped with phase one but not phase two. So Naruto participated in all phases and nobody else did so he saved the world on his own. GG you lose and Sasuke loses.

This plot point was established after the pain arc when naruto went downhill and his character became a complete contradiction of what he originally was. come on man!!

hmmm...I see... You have a very good point, but here's a few other things you may have missed that Sasuke did:

Defected from the village to train under an enemy of the state as it were (Orochimaru)
Joined the Akatsuki( a criminal organization)
Attacked All 5 Kage at the summit
Planned to crush the leaf
Captured all the bijuu against their will
Tried to kill the Hero of Kanoha (Naruto)
Tried to kill Sakura
Tried to Kill Kakashi

Criminals aren't usually given praise in epic war stories but eh....

Itachi was not even in control then. It was Kabuto who was using him and he simply used Itachi to cast something with MS. It was nothing BUT a coincidence, as Kabuto was looking for Naruto and Bee. This is such a pathetic post.

well i can see where you are coming from but don't forget that sasuke's crimes were pardoned solely because of his role in the war.....Naruto was at the helm of the shinobi resistance. It was him that united the alliance. Its true that Sasuke awakened the rinnegan and all and withstood the ultimate genjustsu but i think that SOSP gave half his powers to sasuke because he had faith in Naruto, he said that to Kakashi remember...it was because of him the casualties were less. Now if you dont mind i would like to counter your points one at a time.

1. Revival of hokage was for his own motive not to to help the alliance(though it did in the end)
2. i dont know how can you even put forward this one.
3. Naruto was the one who was being tormented physically as well as mentally at all times. As for sasuke standing tall i wouldnt say he did it for all others he did that only for a moment and because he didnt care what happened to others. Naruto on the other hand cared to what happened to shinobi alliance.
4. well i give him full credit for that. But he got that idea from talking to hashirama (thats my guess) otherwise how he came to know about what madara did is unexplained.
5. Infinite tsukuyomi yup because he had the rinnegan and no one else. It would have been a completely different scenario if naruto had obtained both rinneganan and senjutsu of SOSP.
6. As for stopping Kaguya i guess only the sealing part is applicable....he didnt even land a single blow against her....hell even SAkura punched her in the end and dont forget Kakashi.

well i think because of his credit he was let free without any consequences of his earlier actions. But the thing is that he was a person who was scary but not likable more like madara of the past.

Sasuke is taking Itachi's path and being the hero in the Shadows, that is the way it has to be, how the peace works Itachi saw this and made Sasuke see this. thats why Hashirama and Madara Couldn't work there can only be one hokage but they are equally powerful. someone to protect the village in the light(Naruto) and in the Shadows(Sasuke).Example Naruto the Last Movie Naruto Was off tryna save Hinata's younger sister, the village was in danger even though Kakashi was Hokage he didn't have the power to save them...so Sasuke comes outta no where and do it, and leaves, doesn't want a thank you, doesn't want any priase,doesnt even care if he is notice. Uchiha's have to be selfless, or fall to the curse of hatred. Uchiha's are natural loners and dont need ppl to gain strength, but Senji's get there strength from others. Naruto would not be as powerful as he is if it wasnt for the people around him and if he didnt want to be NOTICED as the srongest shinobi in the village.Saskue Nedds no on. just the ability to be selfless.

It was Sasuke who left Konoha to become a rogue ninja, Sasuke who became a student of Orochimaru (an international criminal who had just killed the 4th Kazekage, caused Hiruzen to die, and manipulated the Sand village into attacking Konoha), Sasuke who joined Akatsuki (an international criminal organization), Sasuke who infiltrated Cloud village where he attacked Bee, Sasuke who gave Obito some of the 8 tails chakra which helped with the Juubi's revival, Sasuke who attacked the Kage summit, Sasuke who killed a Hokage candidate (doesn't matter if Danzo deserved it, Danzo's crime where not known to the mass so to the majority Sasuke just went after his old village leader as an Akatsuki member), Sasuke who planned to destroy Konoha, Sasuke who planned on killing Naruto and becoming a world dictator.

This is why he is only credited with helping and not being a hero.
