If Hinata was to be the heroine of naruto in the place of sakura, she could've got much more character development. Hinata might be feeble, but she has shown the courage and the mental strength to improve her abilities and personality. The only thing I dislike about her is her creepy stalking.

Even though Hinata is somewhat irrelevant to the plot as of now, her fanbase is the proof that how many people still like her character despite flaws (which are much less irritating than sakura's). I believe she could be far more useful to the plot than sakura if kishimoto chose her as the main heroine. And more importantly, we could have seen the byakugan in action and find out about it's full potential. Byakugan wouldn't be so neglected as it could get several power ups to save a major character's ass from critical situations over time.

This might be look like fanboy thread, but I meant all of what I said above. It would have been awesome to see a major female character use dojutsu in battle. I agree, but Sakura was part of the conflict between Naruto and Sasuke. I don't think she ever even talked to Sasuke so there would be a third wheel aspect to the team. Then again I guess she could be a non romantic friend to Sasuke(unlike Sakura) and help get him out of his brooding shell because she was the only girl not part of his fan club. I would say that the manga would have to have some kind of romance if Naruto and Hinata were on the same team. It's totally different than Naruto and Sakura on the same team.

I'm not saying I'm not a fan of the idea but the manga would be way different. I could see Hinata in Sakura's position in the forest of death against the sound ninja though.

I wished hinata could be little bit more straightforward, as stalking is slightly creepy from a 3rd person's point of view. it's not a major problem though. hinata still rocks

sakura is one of the most worthless fictional character i have seen in my entire. i assume u haven't read my whole post at the top, have you?? hinata was born special, her character didn't develop only because of kishi's negligence. sakura's personalty has barely evolved since part 1, even after so much screen space. a byakugan user would have much more importance to the plot than a trash medic ninja, and is much more suitable to become a lead character

It's all your personal opinion and subjective, biased point of view. If you don't understand Sakura's character it doesn't mean she hasn't developed. In my opinion, both Sakura and Hinata suck. But Hinata's character, despite her developement which I do not deny, is probably the most cliche and terrible I've ever met in fiction.

But Hinata's character, despite her developement which I do not deny, is probably the most cliche and terrible I've ever met in fiction.

Byakugan yielder > medic ninja. this ain't subjective. i am definitely biased towards hinata cause a hyuga deserves more to be the female lead. i have seen enough of sakura. she is the epitome of failure. a dojutsu user wouldn't be as weak as sakura if she got the same amount of training (plus addition plot induced powerups out of nowhere). sakura got trained by hokage tsunade for 2 years, where hinata got trained by kurenai.

it's a shame that byakugan couldn't advance. hinata being the main female character would have helped byakugan's development (looking at how sharingan got its ridiculous power ups over time)

lol, her personality is the main reason i hate her. i could care less about her powers. i would hate hinata if her personality was like sakura from the beginning. sakura's been totally useless prior to the the world war arc

btw, what do u like about sakura? did u start liking her just recently? coz i never remember her being useful before the war. please bring up reasons before starting arguments like a child
