[Discussion] Don't understand the "seal" thing..

The seal used on Obito & Rin, what does it do?
Obito was alive without a heart for a while, wut? u.u

Isn't it a seal that prevents obito from hurting himself? So he can't commit suicide or crush the rinnegan himself

Its the same concept like sas k's cursed seal(senjutsu) where condition of its activating was "strain on sharingan" ,like that obitos cursed seal was "Whenever he tries to hurt/kill himself activate and restrain him" simple as that
but i think it was not based on senjutsu but doujutsu .

Yeah, its basically a seal that prevents the user from hurting or killing himself. He used it on Rin to firstly prevent her from committing suicide which forced Kakashi to kill her in the end. With Obito, he more or less had the same intention, but states that the seal came in more handy, especially in terms of limiting Obito to what he could do at the start, before Kakashi was able to destroy the seal.

But obito said the seal disappeared after he made kakashi stab him. But AFTER that madara took control over him to make him use rine tensei.
