We all know there's been a lot of flame threads lately. People might be hating on Hiruzen, Hashirama, Madara, Sasuke, etc. Conversely, they might be fan boys that give their favorite character way too much hype. Either way, it gets a lot of peoples' panties in a twist.

My question is this: Is there any character in the Naruto universe that is universally well liked. That is to say, is there anyone we don't dare talk smack about and can hype without criticism? The only one I can think of is Teuchi, the Ichiraku Ramen man. That dude is amazing (and is actually Tobi?).

No there are always going to be haters. If there is a character that is liked someone will dislike. And if there is a character that is loved there will be people who despise him.
The only possible way for there not to be haters is if nobody cares about him. In which case he is not liked.
Sorry for rambling. No there is no universally liked character.

I've always been the kinda guy that doesn't associate with the main character of hardly any story. It's not that I don't like Naruto, but I don't appreciate him half as much as a lot of the hard core fan boys.
