Comparing normal summons to Edo tensei zombies is just wrong, normal summons willingly share their power while kabuto had to force the edos.

Because paths of pain or obito's paths are controlled with his own mind and his own consciousness so they essentially are their paths just in multiple bodies. However an edo either fights using their own consciousness or fights using pre-determined orders via a sealing tag to fight mindlessly. In conclusion, paths of pain are essentially puppets without the chakra strings, while edo's are basically team mates that can't refuse an order.

Edo Tensei is his power, which allows him to use the power of other shinobi.

Technically, Edo Tensei itself is his power. This power allows him to summon deceased shinobi to fight for him. The problem with this would be that if the user is killed, the Edos will roam free. So it's possible to get to Kabuto without having to fight his army but only a few are able to do this without experiencing an onslaught.

When Kabuto fights, it will be "30 vs. 1" if he summons his Edos but you can't blame him. Afterall, Edo Tensei itself falls under the category of his power to allow him to raise the dead to fight for him. If someone uses shadowclones or summonings, it obviously isn't a 1 vs. 1 anymore but it's still in their ability to do so hence why they are granted with these abilities in a 1v1.

The battle starts as 1v1. But the numbers raise in the middle of battle depending on the shinobi.

The way I see it, Edo Tensi can either be counted for or against soloing purposes depending on how it's used. Strictly speaking, Kabuto can directly erase and control the edo's with his mind. Case in point his control of Muu to both summon, converse, and fight with Madara. Also if Kabuto takes away the edo's mind and forcibly bends them to his will and has them do as he wishes I see that being no different then a summon which no one seems to discount in a fight.

But if the edo's are left to there own devices and given free will minus "Kill Target" I completely agree that It is no longer a "Solo".

I would argue that until we see a manga page indicate otherwise, we should assume that Kabuto still has his DNA enhancements (minus Oro's which was shown to be removed). This would mean he has DSM which is more than enough to solo most shinobi without the use of ET.

Actually yes, if he is controlling them, manda is part of orochimarus power and Edo tensai is the same. This isn't even even an opinionated thing it is 100% fact. By your logic deidra's animalistic bombs are not his power, cell Jr is not cells power In dbz, which is insane
