People are just pissed that Madara had Rinnegan. I mean we already knew about the MS powers that Madara used and he was fighting Naruto and 2 kages at the same time so it doesn't bother me at all that he had to use Rinnegan to gain an advantage.

Seriously Madara is the most kick-ass character of all time. If he wanted to use the Rinnegan to the max, he'd be stronger than Nagato. Again, people are just pissed to see a pure blooded Uchiha to use the haxxed Rinnegan. But people have got to accept the fact that Rinnegan is simply another upgrade related to the sharingan.... that's all there is to it.

If the five Kage decided that they all needed to fight Madara at once, then that is how powerful he is. They all decided to leave their posts to fight Madara, Tsunade even risking injury just to get there.

Madara also nearly killed Oonoki, and easily at that. I would assume that Gaara's sand help him survive immensely.
