Dont blame Boruto,Blame Kishi's fundamentals

Alright guys i agree the Boruto series needs work due to some of the fundamentals and "illogical" things we have witnessed.

However, thinking more into it can we really blame Boruto?

Think about it, Kishi ultimately broke the series after Pain arc and essentially went the DBZ route which ultimately lead to the Kaguya fiasco. While one could argue Boruto and Naruto are different series we must remember Boruto is a continuation of Naruto AFTER Kaguya arc which means:


All the broken fundamentals at the END of Naruto. Were carried on into the Boruto series.

Part of the reason I believe people are so upset is due to them using Naruto Part 1 (Genin,Chuunin exam) and comparing it directly to Boruto Part 1 (Genin,chuunin exams).

Naruto Part 1 Children were bound by Kishi's original fundamentals
Boruto Part 1 children are bound by War-arc Kaguya fundamentals

War-Arc / Kaguya fundamentals when:

People could simply LEARN a new affinity jutsu.
Chakra Reserves super inconsistent.
Chakra control is perfect for everyone.
People could go from no chakra to full chakra constantly.
Perfect Chakra control = Riku level chakra (Sakura healing Obito)




Time-Line:

Part 1 Naruto
Part 2 Naruto
War Arc Naruto
Kaguya Arc Naruto
Boruto Part 1


So with all this said. Let's give Boruto some slack in reference to the "unexplained"

No, in the war arc Shikamaru asked for a very basic jutsu which anybody should be able to use, it would be between D - E rank and it was very weak.

Chakra reserves were consistent for most except Naruto who had a get out of jail free card(Kurama).

Chakra control wasn't perfect for everyone, unsubstantiated speculation.

People going from no chakra to full chakra was largely done via Kurama or they were Edos.

Sakura didn't heal Obito.

While I accept their were some inconsistencies there was nothing as ridiculous as what we have in the new series. They're genin not people who've been ninja for years training and honing their skills etc so I can't cut it some slack.

The MC is pulling shit out of his ass left right and center, he has the lowest canon reserves of his team yet he uses more chakra consuming jutsu than them and still doesn't run out. He pulls out 3 elements from his rear end, doesn't train and learns jutsu adds an affinity without trying or intending it etc. I'm not going to repeat all the issues I have with it.

I know what you said but no they didn't, Naruto had major assistance via tailed beasts(so he wasn't adding) + RSM and
Sasuke wasn't adding new affinities to his jutsu and he had the EMS (most advanced form of sharingan) + Rinnegan.

As I said before, Its not the fact of how it was done. It was the fact that it WAS done. Kishi opened Pandora's box and this series took it and ran with it.

Think of DBZ and GT.

Same situation where the spinoff took the original concept and made it different WITH hardly any explanation or thinking behind it.

I can see your point OP. Unfortunately i turned away from the anime as a whole. I strictly stick to the manga now. I haven’t watched an episode of Boruto since that 1st Chou Chou centric episode.

Actually this isn't true. the whole "Shinobi rank" was the most inconsistent part of the series. I mean Naruto and Sasuke are both a genin and they beat Kaguya.

Sort of like how Boruto as a genin beat momoshiki lol

In the manga - how many times he ran out of chakra , like using that sword? and faded and right after he fought AO , and now in the anime is able to summon Garaga (some say there is an explanation for this but i still didnt hear it)

this suppose to happen once/twice but its happening everytime when new chapter and new episode is out... so, im speachless about this

Actually the characters in Naruto Part 1 are stronger than in this Bolt series. How can you say they are influenced by the Kaguya powerscaling.

Yes, he has one of the strongest plot armour in manga history, he negged Momoshiki especially in the filler version.

But that was not a solo fight. Naruto and Sasuke did the majority of the heavy hitting. I am saying that if you place Bolt, Salad or anyone from this new gen at VoTE 1 without any fancy gadgets, they would get manhandled. Naruto can make a 1000 clones. Sasuke has the curse mark which is a pseudo Sage Mode. Can you imagine Bolt facing Kimmimaro?

No you forgot they initially beat Super Momo, Borat fought a Super Momo who took steroids (chakra pills) which means he was stronger than before. His plot armour alone negs anybody even Naruto's pales in comparison. I'm not going to address the others of the new gen in this discussion as they're not relevant. You should remember one thing anybody Borat faces either gets plot nerfed or if he has team mates they get my nerfed because he's there, so yeah I can imagine Kodachi writing Boruto to solo Naruto (who'll be able to make 0 clones), Sasuke(who'll get chakra nerf on steroids like Sarada) even Kimimaro.
