Dokkōdō
Dokkōdō, or The Alone Way, is a Mode based around the usage of Senjutsu alongside Kenjutsu, blending Natural Energy into strikes capable of causing petrification to targets. Similar to Sage Mode users, Dokkōdō learners train rigorously to learn how to gather and use natural energy with their swords and Kenjutsu but unlike Sage Mode, this ability is only able to be used alongside Kenjutsu. Due to this, users advance their skills in such a way that they become capable of using it just as well as Sage Mode Masters. A unique ability exclusive to Dokkōdō is the ability to apply this petrification effect to jutsu as well as opponents, deteriorating the chakra present in either
Abilities:
Restrictions:
Abilities:
- When direct contact is made while in Dokkōdō, sword strikes can cause petrification to targets, gradually slowing the flow of their chakra and prevent access to non-Elemental Ninjutsu of equal or lower chakra.
- When interacting with elemental techniques, Dokkodo techniques cause a deterioration of the chakra and reduce speed and potency of techniques.
- Unlike Sage Mode, Dokkōdō doesn't grant access to a separate pool of chakra, instead augmenting the user's Kenjutsu for a period of time.
- Samurai and Ronin are capable of using some of these techniques without access to this Mode, gaining them passively. However, they cannot utilize Blinding Lights, Fang Point, or the Dokkodo State unless it is their Mode.
Restrictions:
- Requires at least Genin Rank and 6000 Kumi
- Counts as a Mode
