do you think maybe the dog was just really cold? cause dogs can't read and i'm pretty sure there are other doesens of tombstones there. either it was right after the funeral (the dog saw the owner going in there) or it's fake.

Yeah dogs don't cry. They can feel their owner's emotions and genuinely feel sadness it seems but this dog was cold or had something wrong with it.

Dogs whimper or howl, it's more in their body language.... I sadly know from experience...

The bonds dogs form with other creatures is truly astounding. You can see the pain and suffering as easily in them as you can with a child. Stories like these always remind me of my dogs... Rest in peace Suki and Spike...
