WARNING!!! If you have not read the chapter today then do not proceed

From what I have seen today Doffy's true power was extremely impressive, from him completely transforming the remaining city into strings:
You must be registered for see images

To watching some of his new techniques such as Flap Thread and his God Thread/Spider Web combo

He clearly is worthy of admiration and acknowledgment, because is he a monster.

But I have a question, because Im now under the impression that luffy is definitely stronger than Doffy after seeing how much luffy held back originally, but im sure that there are some on the base that dont share the same opinion.

So my 2 questions are:

1. Who still feels as though doffy is stronger and only won because law assisted Luffy?

2. Is it possible that Doffy isnt quite admiral level (even low admiral) yet, because if thats the case then luffy would also be admiral level and I dont feel as though luffy has had enough post timeskip developement to have jumped straight to admiral fighting level just yet. If anything, I think the Shichibukai which should be the level between vice admiral and admiral is an apppropraite rank for Luffy, Doffy, and Law. With law and luffy being high shichibukai and law beign medium shichibukai. But what do you all think?

Doflamingo is far from being Admiral rank. Shichibukai are after all, simply pirates with high reputation. It shouldn't be surprising if Doffy isn't up part with the likes of Borsalino or other high ranking Marine.

Doflamingo is still stronger than Luffy. Luffy cant hurt Doffy in G2 or G3 so he needs G4 to stand a chance. As you know, G4 wont last long and when it wears off for 10 minutes and Luffy is screwed.

But if G4 is still luffy's power, and luffy would have hit Doffy with King Kong Gun b4 the time limit ran out do you not think it would have K.O'd Doffy? (Just Curious)

Flawed logic. Mihawk is admiral level and he's shichibukai too.

OT- I'd say he's below admiral level by a bit.

Nope. King Kong Gun wont beat Doffy as it would most likely be Luffy's first hit(or one the first). We saw what Doffy went through before the King Kong Gun.

In my opinion the ratings went like this:

Fleet Admiral/Yonko/Garp
Admiral/Yonko First Mate
Shichibukai
Supernova
Vice Admiral
Those ranking aren't very good as strength varies between people with those ranks.

Yonkou, Admiral and Fleet Admiral are all on the same level.
Yonkou first mates cant stop admirals as seen with Marco.
Shichibukais are just a random mash of pirates with influence.
Strength between the Worst Generation varies.
Strength between Vice Admirals varies heavily. Just look at Vergo and compare him to Maynard. Solo VAs are the strongest. Momonga was trusted with dealing with Hancock and Onigumo was trusted with dealing with Ace.

Doflamingo went from an inferior clone casually swatting away a Jet Pistol and restraining Jozu for a while with Parasite to not being able to notice a Jet Bazooka till it was at his chest and Luffy breaking out of Parasite just by flexing. It's obvious that he wasn't at full power, with it being dropped severely as a result of Gamma Knife.Even with this drop, Gears 2 and 3 weren't enough. If it wasn't for Gamma Knife, Doffy could probably beat G2/G3 Luffy low diff and Gear 4 Luffy mid-diff.

He's not quite Admiral level, but he's above most Vice-Admirals.

Flawed logic. Mihawk is admiral level and he's shichibukai too.

I think what Loki was trying to say is any pirate could become a Shichibukai through high reputation(look at Buggy) so you shouldn't expect them all to be on the same level as each other and with other high ranking characters.

In my opinion the ratings went like this:

Fleet Admiral/Yonko/Garp
Admiral/Yonko First Mate
Shichibukai
Supernova
Vice Admiral
Bad rankings. A Fleet Admiral is just an Admiral that is best fitted to lead. It's not a rank that's inherently stronger than an Admiral.
Admirals, Fleet Admirals, and Yonko are generally even.
There are Supernova who'd lose to some of the Shichibukai, and Supernova who'd beat some of the Shichibukai.
There's a Vice-Admiral and a Shichibukai who are Yonko/Admiral level.

Thanks... When I said Admirals and Yonko's first mate level were equal I was thinking more about Rayleigh (prime) than Marco, but I see what you mean.

So it basically just depends on the character. Rank really doesnt mean anything in this manga?

If Luffy landed KKG at the beginning of the fight it definitely would have made a difference, the attack seemingly tore the city in two.

Now whether he would get up or not probably depends on the next chapter.

A 100% Luffy vs a 100% Doffy is very hard to tell as even though DD was weakened his strings haven't shown to be affected by his durability, especially his awakening that he has shown to not need to do anything to control. This chapter even showed them move on their own, and G4 completely crapped on them along with parasite and Doffys best offensive/defensive move.

Now theres always going to be someone who downplay those feats of Luffy and act like Mingo was on his deathbed when he clearly wasn't. But even if he was weakened there's literally nothing supporting Doflamingos strings being affected by his health.

If Luffy does lose its because of the time limit and drawbacks of G4.

So, do you believe that Luffy has greater physical strength than Jozu?

Damn I should have known you were going to reply. When you reply I know I said something wrong.

Anyways no I don't but they are comparable in strength, but are you trying to imply that just because a distracted Jozu got caught that its suppose to be impossible for someone else with comparable strength to break out of it?

Are you implying that the parasite that Luffy broke out of was seemingly weaker than the one Jozu got caught with even though theres nothing supporting Doflamingos strings being affected by his health?

Boo-frickin'-hoo, you'll live.

Just because Jozu was distracted when he was caught in Parasite doesn't mean he's distracted the entirety of the way through. Being distracted basically just means he didn't see Parasite coming, and neither did Luffy. If Luffy can break out of Parasite after being caught in it unexpectedly and with zero knowledge of how it works by flexing huge muscles, then there's no reason Jozu can't as well.

Or the fact that Doffy's Parasite left Jozu completely helpless and then a weaker character broke out of it using brute strength after Doffy took heavy damage IS the support that his strings got weaker because of his health's condition.

Well whenever you comment I know I probably said something wrong hehe.

Oh I know Jozu can break out of it.

Wait how would anyone know whos stronger between Jozu and G4 Luffy? I know he picked up that iceberg but physical strength isn't every thing because if that's the case then Marco would be weaker than Jozu.

So are you implying that one has to be physically as strong as Jozu just to break out of parasite? With that logic people like Rayleigh and Marco can't break it.

Also how did Parasite leave Jozu helpless? He was trapped for no longer than a couple of seconds, gets hit by Sables and then next time we see him he's out.

Why didn't he? Why would the completely serious Jozu who reacted with panic when Whitebeard coughed up blood remain trapped by Doflamingo as his comrades around him die? To listen to Crocodile and Doffy banter?

Physical strength isn't everything no, but physical strength was the key to breaking out of Parasite. Luffy just extended his body and broke through the strings with his physical strength. As Doffy said, he snapped the strings. So, either Luffy has greater physical strength than Jozu or Parasite was weaker.

Physically stronger to break out of a full Parasite. That's not a problem though, since most characters above Doffy, like Rayleigh or Marco, could just rush him and keep up a constant barrage of attacks that damage him, preventing him from using Parasite, the same way G4's onslaught did.

Jozu was trapped for a while. I made a thread about this earlier, but Jozu was trapped for a moment. The fact that he went from diamond covered to normal is also an indicator of this.

Maybe your right but I just can't see how Doflamingos strings are connected to his durability, it doesn't even make sense as his awakening can be used anywhere and can be used without the use of any limb.

And Jozu was trapped in chapter 560, when did he end up getting out? Also I'm going to have to look at this thread your talking about. Was it posted in this section, if so I shouldn't have missed it.

I Personally think the streenfth of Doffy strings has to do with his health like other guy said... I mean it's not tht hard to believe luffy does it (how strong his haki is with his gears 4) law does it (his room depends on how much stamina he has)

But the other guy does bring up a good point Doffy when 100% is shown to b strong as ****.. at least his strings from cutting orz junior to severing law arm his overheat destroying buildings with just a wip as well as catching jozu

To luffy literally just flexing and breaking them... I mean oda really needs to explain how Doffy powers work I think his awakening how they move is his mind

I also think Doffy is suffering from oda making him like every other person luffy fought instead of Doffy being how he was b4 (he said he would never underestimate luffy and that's all he's been doing since the fight began to me tht s bad writingbcant have a character say something and then they do the exact opposite of what they said they was gonna do)

Also I still think Doffy is stronger then luffy luffy said laws attack def hurt Doffy real bad earlier in fight (b4 gear 4) and I dnt c why even in anime would a character survive and be. Able to fight like Doffy did if they had insides ripped apart unless some help (his strings reattaching them)
Wether it b white beard or Shanks a etc I dnt c either one of them surviving gamma knife and then what luffy did to Doffy via gear 4 (I'm saying this if all of this actually hit them in reality theybwouldnt they wouldn't land the hits but the damage it's self should be enough to put down anyone who can't repair insides) tbh laws gamma knife and luffy gear four attacks r a perfect combination of internal and external damage tht would put down any character in one piece (if they land the hits)
