because in almost every series or show at the beginning the hero is weak or they almost die to the villian but eventually the main character always turns out to be the strongest that is why i would rather naruto become the strongest.
if sasuke were to become his equal i think it would mess up the plot because the show isn't called sasuke and naruto and f it were i would like sasuke to be narutos equal

me either imo saskue was stronger the whole series when naruto got sage mode they were almost equal but saskue would have killed him and not naruto is stronger but like you said saskue will get another power up then they will be on even terms and i know a lot of people think naruto willget the ten tails some how and he might but unless saskue gets some new crazy power i dont want naruto to get that power how would saskue stand up to that
