Considering Minato is a genius who mooches off other people techniques :snick: I think if he didn't have FTG he would have copied other jutsu rather it be Gai's Gates or became more involved with Genjutsu or developed an affinity or even learned EDO tensei. He would still be a good ninja without FTG. Just FTG is pretty strong jutsu so why not capitalize on it

Yes but it is a part of his arsenal there is no point of strippin abilites from characters.
Everyone would suck without their major source of fighting; wouldn't Gai suck without his limbs? Or Hashirama without mokuton?

If Minato didn't have flying thunder god wouldn't he suck? He has shown no attacks over A grade. His only attack shown is a rasengan. His rasengans are nowhere near Naruto's level. He just has a basic enlarged rasengan which isn't even upto odama level. All his feats are based around his teleporting mark. Teleporting attacks to defend. Teleporting himself to attack and evade. Apart from that he has nothing to show except for demon seal and some nice seals he learnt from his wife.

Mind you he does achieve a lot with that teleport. If someone like Sakura or Kakashi learnt it then they would be just as good, if not better than the forth.

if you take sharingan away from any uchiha they suck

take sand away from gaara he sucks
