That this whole war is occurring over the space of two days? It doesn't seem realistic. Surely it would have been better if it had lasted say, a couple of weeks with breaks in between for the characters or something?

In Naruto, where bullsh!t is rampant, wars can start and end over the span of two days.

I find it realistic as each chapter occurs over the space of five to ten minutes maximum excluding flashbacks.

I think because we're reading it over the course of weeks to years that this is how you feel. I feel the same way.

exactly.
You didnt catch Rambo takin coffee breaks did you?

What I mean by "breaks" is that perhaps the enemy would "fall back" for a day or so, to give the alliance time to recover/rest/come up with strategies and possibly see some ninjas train or something.

That would be illogical considering that all of the enemies weren't human, meaning they don't need to rest. So why would they let their opponents do it?

I dunno, maybe obito could have started the eye of the moon plan in a remote location.(where there was few people, so the shinobis would have to go searching for him) Or he could have randomly attacked civilian villages-this would have caused the shinobis to split up, and possibly the war go for a longer period.(due to all the searching)

I Agree...however this war is rather different then all the others. Its the shinobi world against Madara and those who work under him

so its only natural that the war wouldn't last long. Everything comes down to this Battle.

You have to remember, this is a war between the entire ninja world vs. Obito and Kabuto( and his edos). The numbers are simply on the alliance's side, its not surprising the war is so short.

But once again that would present a problem for the readers, we would spend all that time reading about the Alliance looking for Obito, which would be boring. It would be like the Gaara Retrieval arc extended.
