Does Visual Genjutsu Work On A Rinnegan User?

As the title says, i'm curious as to if visual genjutsu work on Rinnegan users. I'm not sure who told me, but I was told at one point that visual genjutsu doesn't work on Rinnegan users, although sound-based genjutsu does. Please give me your thoughts and thank you for taking the time to view this thread.

It should. What you heard was from the data book thread, but nobody has posted the scan that someone used to translate that. So until further proof is brought forth, Rin'negan users are susceptible to Visual Genjutsu.

When it comes to seeing through Genjutsu, it matches both Sharingan and Byakugan in visual powers.

rinngan is the advance version of sharingan so i highly doubt it.....

Rinnegan is advanced Sharingan so it can resist visual genjutsu from a sharingan.

Sharingan genjutsu has no effect on a rinnegan user.

Yes a sharingan can, to the point that Hagoromoo was weary of its visual power.

Nature born uchiha's won't really struggle with any sort of genjustu.

Some one like Nagato would be affected by the visual genjustu since those paths share each other's vision.

Other genjustus like paralyzes and hearing genjustus only damage the paths and not the original body.

Nope, a highly reliable translator from the narutoforums said visual genjutsu is ineffective against Rinnegan.

And why would it work. Rinnegan > Sharingan. Sharingan becomes Rinnegan. So why would it work? How stupid would it be if the leader of akatsuki (Nagato), was controlled by Itachis measly Mangekyou.

The DB isn't even needed to confirm this. Sasuke with his Rinnegan was unaffected by Infinite Tsukuyomi which is the strongest Genjutsu in the entire manga so that's enough proof that Visual Genjutsu doesn't work against the Rinnegan.
