This has been bothering me for a while. Urahara created the Hogyouku while investigating Hollowfication. Aizen stole it, got wrecked, and no one knows what happened after that.

But if you need the Hokyouku for Hollowfication, or else something like White, How was Urahara able to make those Hollowfying Pills to recover Bankai for the captains? If he could just make a Hollowfication Pills on the fly without a Hogyouku, why did the whole series happen?

Therefore, Urahara is hiding the fact that he has a third Hoguouku in his hat.

I wouldn't be surprised. After all, scientists do make copies of everything that they do.

On a serious note, a man such as Urahara with his high intellect should have no problem being able to hollowfy inanimate or animate objects without the Hogyoku being at his disposal. The Hogyoku was only the catalyst needed in order to perfect hollowfication. After all, the Hogyoku's true abilities, as put by Aizen after having subjugated himself to it, was to sense the hearts of those around it and materialize their deepest desire. Which was why Urahara thought that the only purpose of the Hogyoku was to break down those boundaries because that's what he, as its creator, desired. Therefore, the Hogyoku would be the independent variable whereas hollowfication would be the dependent variable.

Simply put, the Hogyoku causes a change in hollowfication and it isn't possible that hollowfication could cause a change in the Hogyoku.

I hope that makes sense. If not, Kubo has other ways to make Bleach science-y as fųck. Sorry, it's like 00:35 where I'm at right now. I'll probably add more to this later.
