You look at death and how it effects character's in Naruto:

Jiraya dies and Naruto fully masters sage mode and his rasen shuriken. Naruto defeats Pein the very enemy Jiraya couldn't defeat. Naruto is also able to end the conflict with Nagato on peaceful terms and hope for the future.

Itachi dies and Sasuke sets off to avenge the Uchiha. Now he's more powerful than ever. He's crossed swords with the five kage and killed one of them. Now Sasuke wants to build a better future for Konoha.

Asuma dies and the Ino-Shika-Cho come together to avenge him. They assist in taking down Hidan and Kakuzu. Edo Asuma even helps Choji find his courage, and Choiji fully realizes his true potential. Ino and Hinata worked together to divert a massive attack by combining the byakugan and mind transfer jutsu. Shikamaru is coordinating the SA from the front lines.

Neji dies and Hinata steps up and motivates Naruto to continue the battle. Hinata displaying she can use the 64 palms in combat against the Juubi clones. Recalling how she mastered the footwork with Neji. Hinata used the twin lion fist on another juubi clone.

Sakura has the strength of 100 now, but Tsunade was trading blows with Madara, his Susanno, his wood clones under susano, and survived being stabbed and bisected. Going through all of that Tsunade still displayed the ability to heal Shikamaru with a tap to the head.


Death seems to be a powerful motivator for shinobi to reach their full potential.

We have to see her true/old face before the end of the series... So, her death scene will be a perfect moment for us to see her true form.

Calm down, she doesn't need to die, all those ppl that u mentioned that someone close to them died, they were already unstable, Sakura to some extent is, but not as much, besides Tsunade is still Hokage, and no matter how many directions u look at it from Naruto isn't ready yet

Tsunade didn't have the Yin Seal at the same age, this means that Sakura, by the time she's Tsunade's age, has already surpassed her for sure.
In a way she did it already, its only a matter of time until she becomes overall better.
In other words, no. Its not like this is a very important aspect of the manga anyway.

no tsunade will not die, at least not shown in the manga, coz she entrusted naruto with the hokage dream, necklace and forehead kiss in part 1.

sakura almost lost her once during pain invasion and nothing happened. madara sliced her into half and nothing happened. what is going to kill her now? and sakura will surpass her with her genjutsu talent.. if kishi remembers her.

No, as we can see the latest Tsunade/Sakura interaction. Kishi is basically showing us Sakura can do everything Tsunade can do so far, and then for Tsunade to tell Gaara to take Sakura to heal Naruto. She has the utmost confidence in her student.

I have no doubts that Sakura's next step will be to take it to the next level offensively like she took it to the next level in terms of medical ninjutsu when the time called for it.

We have seen the comparisons between to two of them in terms of skills and now the differences between them shall appear and the surpassing shall begin.
