Let me say this, I got infracted for saying + rep = plus reputation. And for spreading plus rep or asking when I did not even said it in the first place? And I meant plus rep for this ***** as a curse word. So? What did I get in trouble for? Being a delinquent?

People need to understand the situation and look at history. I'm not a rep abuser nor have I been.

The mods are cracking down on the use of that phrase as a means of controlling rep abuse, that's all.
This is pretty much it.

There was a trend where people gave others positive reputation in the expectation that the person would give positive reputation in return. The general idea is that saying "+ rep" is just a way to draw attention to you giving reputation, slightly increasing your chance of receiving reputation in return.

If you give reputation people will often see it in their notifications. That means that stating "+ rep" really does nothing except contribute to spam.

As to why you were infracted, I think it's just an ease in phase. The moderator wasn't out to get you, just that it sends the message that they really don't want people using the phrase.

Did you say + rep in a thread or on the reason for reputation? If it was the former, than if it was the only thing you said, then it's spam. If it's the latter, then.....well, mods. Might as well infract people who give no reason for rep, since that can be considering as rep whoring too.

EDIT: Now I see. #DouchBagMod

And to be fair, I should be infracted for this post, correct? I insulted a member and said the oh so dreaded, + rep! Oooooh! Abide by the rules, mods. I'll be waiting ;) And yes, I'm being a smartass. Oh, whoops, I said ass. Bad bad word, Jack, bad word.

Trust me, the mods always claim that you're "breaking the rules" even when they cant come up with a legit reason.

Their rules aren't specific enough, so they fabricate shyt.

I bet this thread will be deleted cause no one cares about what I say. It's always this.. :(

Next time use Search button before posting. Or PM back the mod/gmod or an admin regarding infractions you don't understand. Such threads don't solve your problem any better and are prohibited.

Possibly a good suggestion I'll add it right away. And we'll see how it works out.

Edit: for the people that don't know what the thread is about. It is about writing "plus rep" should be censored.

Word combinations cannot be censored: like + Rep or plus rep and so on. But it's still not allowed and is against the rules now.

Added to the rules that to attempt writing anything like it can be considered rep abuse. Which can result in: Infractions, Reset of reputation points or simply ban from the reputation system. :) Hopefully people will learn not to do it.

^ This. If you are posting to just say plus rep you are spamming anyway.

You have been a spammer though and used at least two alts to troll. Want me to change the rep abuse infraction to spam?

Oooh the irony.... While the fail trolls relentlessly run rampant on NB, people are being infracted for words.

Yeah yeah ... since murders happen one shouldn't punish the swindlers, right? We are trying to curb rep abuse. If it doesn't work we will see.

Yeah next time right a pm directly to Zise as he gave the ruling and instructed us to infract if we see such posts. Seeing that you have posted in threads on this topic previously you should know how it came up. I find it funny that user blame mods for the rules made by the admins. We just follow them.

In the mean while you did insult a mod for doing what he was told to do by the admins. Dunno why people think it makes them look cool in some way despite it's pointlessness.

It is pretty much clear that you don't know an iota about how forums work nor have any understanding of forum rules ( did you even read them) but that doesn't stop you from giving your expert opinion, does it?

At least do not fabricate facts.

It may seem absurd at first glance but rules and restrictions come up because people misuse their privileges for stupid reasons. If they didn't over did it so much it would not have been a problem.
