[Discussion] Does the current schooling system provide the necessary education?

Does the current American school system provide he proper education? Why or why not? I personally think it does not because it is designed to teach you things where you would end up having to work for someone else rather than creating a job for yourself. It's literally teaching people how to sell themselves to working for someone else all their life. You got through the school system, to college, only to learn how to work for someone else. Hell, you can hardly even get hired with a PHd anymore.

What they should do is provide programs that can give students the opportunity to present their inventions (or any talent) and then if it works, the students can invest on it and after that, business.

You don't need to be qualified to make a statement. Many people with PHDs have told me this and I've seen many saying. It's also a common fact.

It does provide the "necessary" education, but to me, its is all about "quality and effective" education.

If school is there for us get a good career, then they should set it up so we are taking the proper classes for that career. Instead of saying what we need.

It's about knowing the right people and being smart with your decisions. As for school, now students are drowning with debts and can't even finish studying. As for the teaching itself yeah but like I said above. And I agree with anubi as well

rather i would put it this way it teaches u how to be a slave for someone ... anyways its the parents responsibility to teach their children and not be dependent on schools ... its like the mobile thing since its a brand i would always by the same thing and not the one which has more utility for you ...

you've got it ****ed...... America is a capitalist state, want to work for someone? by all means, it your call to make. want to be an entrepreneur? you need the c.e.l.l and have to be ready to bear the risk.
i am an economics student, and we pretty much like to think the labourer sell his services but remains in himself his own property.
