Wouldn't really change much since he's a Logia and can fly anyway, but I'm just wondering. All Geppo (or skywalk) users have that same effect below their feet when they use it.

Well, Geppo involves kicking the air and he has no feet when he takes that smoke form. Honestly, Smoker with Geppo would be a waste of time since he can just unleash bursts of cloud to propel himself and he can already fly.

I wouldn't get that technical about it, though he could solidify his feet behind him and kick like that.

Exactly. Just like the anime intro had M3 fighting the 3 admirals, that hasn't been foreshadowed in the manga but we know it'll happen.

I think that some logias can do that. Didn't Crocodile or some other user done something similar?

Crocodile definitely didn't do this.
